Not the fanciest hotel I've ever stayed in but clean and adequate for a convenient airport location. However, the staff went above and beyond their duties! I came back to a dead battery at 9PM after traveling all day and everyone did their best to try and help. They made a bad situation so much better.
Don't know how this place got such a good overall rating. I have stayed at LaQuinta properties before and this one was way below standard. A/C was not on when I arrived, and my room was so hot and humid that it took the terribly loud air conditioner all night to cool the room. Bathroom smelled like mildew and wasn't very clean. The room looked tired and worn out. For security, they had a chair up against the door into the adjoining suite. The staff was stressed and rushed (except for the morning shuttle van driver, who was great). Even the shuttle van is old and beat up. Glad I was only there for a few hours between flights.
Beautiful large room/suite. Very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable with plenty of covers and soft pillows. loved the privacy of the bathroom. Having a cozy sitting area was my favorite part of this room. One of the best places we have stayed and the best value for the money.
Because of a 7 a.m. flight the next morning, I decided to drive the 1.5 hours from home the night before and stay at La Quinta. It made it much easier to get up in the morning at a reasonable hour and get to the ATL airport right around the corner. Very restful and pleasant property, with friendly staff.
We stayed at La Quita overnight before leaving for our vacation. They have a drive and fly plan so we were able to leave our car there and they took us to the airport and picked us up.
The lobby was very pleasant. The front desk clerk was very surly and not pleasant at all. The check out staff was very nice. We had a problem in the morning as our door lock broke and we were not able to get in after breakfast. They took about 30 minutes and finally got the door opened. They actually took a wire hanger thing and pushed it under the door to get the latch pulled on the inside. Between the shuttle driver and the housekeeping manger they worked hard to get it opened with a really pleasant and positive attitude.
Breakfast was okay. There were the usual muffins, waffles, coffee etc. The breakfast room was clean, bright and pleasant.
The room was bigger than we expected. There was a half wall next to the bed to keep that area a litte seperate. We had a desk area. There was also a small sofa to sit and watch the television. The television could be turned towards the bed or the sofa. A little kitchenette was there also with microwave, coffee maker, counter top and mini fridge.
Bathroom was clean and had a seperate vanity area.
Overall would stay there again when we travel.
