Well lit parking, which was great since arrival was after dark. Exterior was clean and landscaping/hotel facade projected added to the sense of safety during evening arrival.
Hotel staff was very polite and professional. Room was neat and clean. Check-in and departure was smooth and fast.
Conveniently located close to the highway, a nice welcome awaited us at the La Quinta Inn in Wytheville, Virginia. So did clean rooms, comfortable beds, reasonable rates and a decent breakfast.
Plus, it was pet friendly. No extra charge for my two dogs!
More than satisfied, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
After driving 10 hours we decided to pull over and spend the night. Just picked the La Quinta as it was off the interstate,well located & in our AAA guide. We were pleasantly surprised from the moment we checked in --very pleasant staff, clean & well lit lobby and upon entering the room, it was exceptionally neat and clean -- we asked for a recommendation to dine and the desk clerk told us about a Mexican place just a block or so from the hotel. Not a chain --family owned - it was a great suggestion and very reasonably priced. Breakfast the following morning was included - very nicely displayed and the offerings included hot eggs, sausage, muffins, bagels,waffles & hot or cold beverages. I am glad we made the choice to stay at this hotel. We recommend it if you are passing through Wytheville, Va~
Stayed one night with 3 dogs on our way to the beach in NC. Very clean and very quiet. No extra charge for our dogs. Close to restaurants and interstate but very quiet. We were amazed by the number and variety of dogs that we saw. Our only problem was a poor dog left in a room for several hours that barked and scratched at the door. The front desk clerk immediately contacted the owner, offered a room change but it all resolved. A designated pet walk area would be helpful but there was a large grassy area adjacent. Would stay again with our "boys".
Stayed there after a Sunshine bus tour. A discount is given for tour folks. Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Bed was very comfy. Very good breakfast, and nice employees. Great place to crash after a long day. I highly recommend this motel.
