It's rare to have service that was "perfect" but this hotel was. The hot breakfast was a bonus. The pool was nice too. Its location was convenient to many shopping areas. If I could recommend one thing it would be to add a comfort chair to sit and read besides the office chair by the desk. Perhaps another type of facial soap too. The one provided was too hard and didn't lather particularly well, but that was a minor thing.

Amazing staff and service!!!! Party in the meeting room and all that attended were getting ideas for future parties there!! Plenty of space and nicely furnished.. Accommodating and helpful in every way. I will be back and rent for other functions.

I am a very harsh reviewer ( look at my other reviews of La Quintas) , however this stay was very good. Staff was friendly and rooms were comfortable. I always stay here when going to Sea World. It's a short drive to the park and it is also close to many food places and shops. It is very obvious that the manager cares about this place, I saw him scrubbing tables down during breakfast with a smile. They serve eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, tortillas, yogurt, cereal, bagels, toast, orange and apple juice, banana nut muffins... Etc. It is also a very quiet location there is a movie theater in walking distance. I had the jacuzzi suite and it is very big and spacious. It's a very clean location. Pool and hot tub outside are small but the right size as this hotel never seems very busy. It truly is a hidden gem in San Antonio. For the price it is much nicer than other other LQs in the city that are charging equal or more. If I am impressed with this location, you probably will be too, because I am very picky and want everything perfect. I really recommend this location.

On check in I could see the worn look and the results of a less than energetic cleaning staff. Oh well I was only there one night so I took care of the reason I was there. It was when I turned back the bed much later that I found brownish stains on the blanket and a crusty stain on the bottom sheet. Ugg!! I could go on but it would get boring. On check out one clerk having breakfast and one out smoking! Whomever owns this place should get a handle.SAD.

Pros: staff friendly, room was clean, average size room, mattress comfortable. Con: Older, had some problems when we checked in: only one bath towel in room, chair missing castor, remote needed new batteries. Over 20 miles to the River Walk. Overall, nothing special and a bit disappointing for a La Quinta. Very few people staying there so was quiet. Probably would look for something else next time in San Antonio area.
