This hotel is not in the busiest part of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, which can be a plus. Short drive to most attractions. Very nice, very clean rooms, comfortable bed, nice breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
On a band trip with our middle school and I placed a call to check to see if we were in pet friendly rooms. I was assured that we were being housed on floors 3 and 4. Nope. On floor 2 (pet friendly room) and the room was worn out and neglected. I noticed we had no hairdyer and I called down to the reception desk and was rudely addressed with the response of "it's on your bathroom wall". No, sir. There were holes where perhaps one was attached several years ago. Sad, little cheap place. The front desk guy never even offered a room change and I stressed the dangers of allergic reactions and just reply was " sorry". Our tour managers will be notified of our disappointment. Travelers be aware. And bring Benadryl.

Clean rooms with friendly staff. Not the most interesting neighborhood and Spring 2013 road construction with dynamiting in front of inn. Very quiet at night! This property is near I40 and is convenient for trips into the overly congested Gatlinburg.
We (and our dogs) stayed here on our way to our Florida home. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and the grounds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Price was right, and we especially enjoyed the hot tub, which was the size of a swimming pool. Continental breakfast was included in the price. We'll be back.
I travel with a medium size (50lb) dog and am limited on hotels I can use. La Quinta is usually the first place I look and often settle, but this La Quinta was better than some of the others in which I've stayed. The staff was very friendly and kind, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was as nice as a continental breakfast can be, and there was a place to walk my dog with waste bags provided. It's not the newest hotel, but considering it's proximity to all the touristy things to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, I think it was just right for the price.
