New Hotel staff and hotel we had the king size bedroom and pullout couch. We could not find anything to complain about other than the blankets are not warm and we suggest you bring you stuff two pillows in one pillowcase lol..No problem getting extra towels and pillows. Great location! Nuff said stay here!
A new facility, so everything was clean and worked flawlessly. i.e. A/C, fridge, microwave, bathroom fixtures, internet and TV. Beds were very good. We were a bit disappointed by the very low wattage energy efficient bulbs which made the room darker than we wanted and annoying in the bathroom. We had no real negatives, but there was just a plainness about everything - lobby,
breakfast, decorations, miniature pool, etc. (They did offer excellent cookies in lobby, however.)
We try to stay in LaQuinta Hotels whenever we travel from Ontario to Florida. Infact staying at this hotel influenced our decision to stay only at LaQuintas. We have had such positive experiences when staying at this property. We are already booked for the fall.
Right off the I-95. Pleasant and efficient check in/out. Pet friendly. Good breakfast.
Room was clean, and had fridge/micro. Close to many food outlets. Gas station right on the corner.
we decided to take a break on the way home and the first thing that caught our eye was it looked very nice from the outside. Then we checked the prices and they were good so we went to check it out. Very nice room, nice bathroom, and clean.
We travel back & forth between Florida & Massachusetts by car - with a small dog & cat - twice a year & have come to know the various stops along on our 3-night I-95 journey. It is just lately, though, we have started staying @ LaQuintas when available. This one in Kingsland was influenced by Trip Advisor glowing reports.
I called ahead, check in was fast & friendly - no extra charges for pets - & at the AAA discounted rate of $75+tax a really good deal.
The room was clean, ample tho not over-sized, on the ground floor, convenient to outside, the TV a beautiful flat screen, frig/m-w, comfy beds. Unfortunately, there was a strong cat urine odor & the armchair upholstery was frayed as tho having been used as a scratching post....not the greatest, but we adapted.
There were other guests with dogs & I find pet people are always chatty when outside exercising their pets. The dog walking area was a small strip behind the motel, not generous if you had a large dog, but I give them extra points for having not 1, but 2, poop stations w/bags & receptacle.
Breakfast was more simple than often offered, but adequate. The attendant was very busy & helpful.
Amenities were soap & shampoo & a request at the desk for lotion could not be filled.
There are several restaurants including Sonny's BBQ, our road trip favorite Ruby Tuesdays, typical fast foods & a local Mill House whose menu was given us at check in. We did try there, but left in favor of RT.
