Stayed here for one night on business. Location was a bit tough to find coming from the east. Check in was easy. Room was decent. Typical La Quinta - pretty clean but could use some repair & updating. A few issues stand out: the a/c is LOUD, the walls in the shower were in obvious need of repair, with cracking and bubbling from steam/water...and lastly, the carpet was in desperate need of cleaning or replacement. There were stains everywhere, dirt in corners that looked like it had been that way for a while and burns from what I would say looked like cigarettes. Breakfast was typical eggs and sausage. Nothing special.
Decent stay but you get what you pay for in the SF Bay Area...even in the East Bay.
New clean facility with easy check-in/out. Front desk was useless for suggestions where to eat, I would think a common question. Easy on and off freeway with better prices than SanFran area. A/C roared when in use.
As I said previously, there was a difference in my Billl and the manager was suppose to call me about it , Which never happened. I believe when a staff member tells you a manager is going to call you it needs to happen! If it doesn't there is a lack of caring on the companies part and that is a definate No, No! Please restore my faith, will be waiting to hear. Pamela DeWitt.
While the staff was curteous and the room itself was clean the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke. When we brought this to the staffs attention they said they would have it sprayed again to deal with the smoke. When we returned that evening, it still smelled. The next morning at breakfast we learned another couple had the same problem in their original room. This is a smoke free hotel. Why so much problem with smokers? Also, after my shower I realized my towel had a hole in it and the towel was shredding along the sides. La Quinta is our hotel of choice but I was not impressed with La Quinta Livermore.
Oh my goodness...when I looked at a map, heading north on I-5 from Pasadena, my friend's suggestion of LaQuinta in Livermore, CA looked like a crazy idea. WRONG! After the five plus hour drive north, and 20 minute drive west to Livermore, this gem of a hotel was a gift from the heavens. Not only was the man at the front desk so personable and professional, but he welcomed me, asked if I needed restaurant suggestions, and was kind enough to hang on to my dog's leash while I unloaded the truck. I begged for a quiet room - come to find out, the hallways on all three floors were so quiet...what a relief after a long day on the road. And the King bed was adorned with loads of pillows, crisp white linens, and all the comfort a great mattress could offer. Shower and towels were lovely, including the great water pressure and water as hot as a person could desire. Leaving after a short sleep was sad...the stay was just too short. But as nice as the welcoming man was when we arrived, the check-out man was just as nice, friendly, professional, and helpful. Luckily, he had just made coffee...and of course, he held the door open as I lugged all of our stuff out to the truck. Boy, I just can't wait to find a reason to head back to this fine hotel...Great hidden gem and well worth the diversion off I-5!
