"Terrible Representation of LaQuinta"
1 of 5 stars Reviewed Aug 24, 2014

We always stay at LaQuintas whenever available as we like their customer service, amenities and the fact they accept pets. I really wish I wouldve checked the reviews before booking this place for 8 days but, we were driving across country, and tired. When we first arrived we were greeted by the front door in poor repair. It seemed to be hanging somehow. We were given room 119 and it smelled like a musty basement. We were then given the option between two other rooms, which was nice. However, one smelled like smoke despite the fact this is a non smoking facility. We ended up with 221. The bathroom has mold (see picture). Shame on the owner of this property for adding newer linens and flooring to a structure in need of serious repair. The walls are peeling and crumbling, overall it really does look run down. The tiles in the elevator are falling off and there are names and other things scratched into the elevator door. The hot water did not work at all! The clerk at the front desk had to "reset" it for us. I felt bad for her since I'm sure she hears complaints often and cannot do anything about them. There were two good things about this property, the front desk clerk and the fact they allow pets. I really wish I had better things to say, this is a beautiful area and it's sad that this facility has the LaQuinta name.

Let's see ...room smelled of water but we had no water pressure. I was told they'd reset the water hmmm. Couldn't get the 5th floor internet in room but could in car in the parking lot. The elevator had tiles pieces falling off. Overall the property looks an feels like a roach motel. The front desk staff was the only shining light of the place. I will not be staying here ever again

"Clean and Comfortable with an exceptional Staff"

The trip started on a bad note. We were on the second floor and in the middle of our first night the room above us on the fifth floor flooded! Water worked its was down and the leak reached our room! I told the front desk and first thing the maintenance man was in our room and explained the whole situation. They moved us to a different room first thing in the morning! The staff is very professional and our new room was clean and spacious. We will re visit this La Quinta! One really nice thing, they have individual routers for each floor so the Internet signal is strong everywhere in the hotel.

"sadly disappointing"

have stayed in many LQs over the past decade...and found this place to be a sorry excuse for a business class hotel. first...the phone in the room DID NOT RING. several incoming calls of significance were missed BECAUSE THE PHONE WOULDN'T RING. how hard is it to allow for a room telephone in a hotel to RING when someone calls? next...no fitness room? i can't say i EVER stayed in a $90./night hotel that didn't have a fitness facility. finally, and that is BEYOND the limited towels and discount store toiletries provided...the room had no closet per-se, rather a wooden wardrobe which CONTAINED NO HANGERS. really...? why would a hotel provide a wardrobe, complete with a hanging bar...AND NO HANGERS? management and staff should put themselves in the position of the traveler...and spend a night in this sorry excuse for a hotel. and LQ corporate should do the same...as i suspect that they would pull their name off of this facility quicker than you could say LaQuinta. looking for a quality place to stay in NMB...look elsewhere. i wish i had...................................

"In major need of updating"

Fans wobble, lights buzzed and flicker. The room smelled mildewy. Carpet stiff, worn, and appeared dirty. Tiles in bathroom broken. Not pleasant at a high price. Only positive was the friendly clerk at the front desk. Won't stay here again.
