"Service was good but property lacking"

I was with a group so I don't know cost/value. Internet for computer worked well. Property seemed a little run down. Breakfast was very basic. Desk clerk in evening then night manager were very friendly and helpful. When I was working in the lobby past 1:00 a.m. the night manager opened breakfast for me. The property is lacking but the staff tried hard to make one feel at home.
"Good place to stay if you are traveling with your pets"

We spent Saturday and Sunday evening at this La Quinta. Nice and clean, easy to get to, breakfast choices could have been better. The wife had a hard time getting enough hot water for a shower and then it went hot and cold. Internet worked well and there was nice places for the dogs to walk. If your traveling with your pets, this is a good choice. I would stay here again.
We have rental property in Little River and When we need to check on it we always stay here. the staff has always looked out for us. Clean Rooms, Freindly service, what more could you ask for.We will always stay here. Oh and they also alow pets. Great place.
"Affordable but,..... you get (in this case don't get) what you pay for."

I stayed here for short (thank goodness) business trip. We tend to stay at La quinta when traveling as a family, and have a certain expectation of level of quality. This particular hotel does not meet that level. It seems as if they are trying to cut corners to get by as cheaply as possible. Front door was not automatic, so it was difficult to maneuver with luggage or cart. Elevator was very dirty and smelled bad. My room was lacking basic items. There was an old box style tv, which was fine, but there was no remote to be found. There was a single serving coffee pot but no coffee. Empty tissue box in dispenser, they have installed a new faux wood vinyl floor in the bathroom over the original tile. You can see outline of tile through flooring and moisture has caused darkening (mold?) near the tub. There was a pair of someone's socks between the headboard and mattress of one bed, but the other bed had dog hair all over the mattress. I am not a big breakfast eater, just a bit is fine for me, which was good, because you get the impression it is a nuisance and an annoying additional cost to provide breakfast to guests here. The majority of breakfast options were individually wrapped Little Debbie snack items, like Nutty bars. Also individually wrapped (in plastic wrap) bagels, bread and raisin bread. I think this was to make them last longer to set them out day after day. Boiled eggs also of questionable freshness. And orange juice so watered down to stretch it, that it was no more than flavored water and I dumped the cup I had gotten. Ancient, dried up fruit, and yogurt. Coffee was good, lots of hot water for shower and very nice front desk staff when I checked in and when I checked out early, but next time I will pay a little more and stay somewhere else.
On several occasions family members have made reservations and stayed here. They have always been very satisfied with the accommodations.
During the off season rates are very affordable. Members of my family have stayed twice, en route to Florida and on the return trip.It is a pet friendly hotel which is a plus as they were traveling with the family dog.I personally observed clean and well stocked rooms.
