The hotel looks brand new even though it is 5 years old. The staff takes great pride in the hotel's cleanliness and customer safety, as well as being very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean. We had a very nice stay at this hotel. I would definitely recommend it to others wanting or needing to stay in this area! We stayed as a big group with a baseball team and enjoyed the weekend completely. The staff even called ahead to a local restaurant to make reservations for our team. The hotel also made arrangements to serve the great continental breakfast early to accommodate our game schedule. They were even very generous with towels unlike some hotels. I had no complaints!!
We made reservations with some concern based on prior reviews. We found the motel to be a great bargain. The entire property is undergong a facelift on the exterior and the interior has already been freshened. We were greeted at the front desk by Cami who was charming, efficient, and answered all our questions.
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. There was a slight musty odor when we entered, but it disappeared when we cranked the AC up a little and we had no more issues.
Breakfast is the usual chain hotel affair with slightly fewer options than some others, but there are eating places within walking distance if you choose to go that route.
The hotel is well constructed and there were no noise isues from the outside.
This hotel had a beautiful Lobby. To the left of the lobby was an open eating area. The evening person, Elizabeth, was nice and we had no problems at check-in. The morning breakfast was good. Our room was clean and we loved the granite counter and shower in the bathroom. We would definitely stay again. We Love LaQuinta.
Relatively clean although there was a dreaded hair on the bed. All the furniture is old and stained : ( and the room was muggy and funny smelling when we came in. After some lysol (which I never leave home without) and cranking the AC to 68 it got better. There was water on the window sill after a hard rain and the carpet is warped by that wall...which I suppose explains a lot of the smell. Honestly, I don't know why hotels, in areas prone to hurricanes/tornados/thunderstorms which all have strong potential to flood especially 1st floors, don't put TILE in all the rooms.

My husband and stayed here for 7 days to visit his relatives and it felt like a home away from home. EXTREMELY clean.Loved the fresh air smell smell as soon as you walked into the clean bright lobby lobby and everywhere in hotel. Meticulous housekeeping.
Food Service worker worked very hard to make sure breakfast items were replenished and fresh. Unfortunately food was a bit "institutional": flat shaped scrambled eggs and hash brown patties, generic store bought cereal. However, great make our own Texas shaped waffle fresh bananas and yogurt!! Loved that a carafe of coffee was kept out and hot all day long. Would like to have water available in breakfast area also.
Our two room suite was spacious, well lit, decorated tastefully and well played out. You could tell that even though the room was not"newly" updated the owners tried hard to pay attention to little details to make u feel like you were in a luxury hotel
Finally the owners/managers could not work any harder at making sure all guests feel feel at home.
FANTASTIC SECURITY SYSTEM AND PROTOCOL
