A La Quinta traveler |
This was my first stay at a La Quinta, and I was favorably impressed. Good service, great location with clean and pleasant surroundings. The staff went above and beyond every day of my stay. Most of my travel is business related, and I can recommend La Quinta Palestine, TX without hesitation to fellow business travelers..
Was moving from MS to TX, and we had decided to rest and spend the night at a hotel, and since I had a discount with La Quinta through my employer, we decided why not?
This was my first time staying at a La Quinta, and honestly, it was the most beautiful hotel room I have ever seen. The room was spacious along with the bathroom. Everything in the room looked brand new, from the tv right along to the table and chairs.
The stay would have been perfect, if my boyfriend hadn't gotten sick in the middle of the night, due to a dinner trip at McDonald's. He said the food tasted funny, but that hadn't stop him from eating it though. He spent most of the night on the bathroom floor, next to the toilet.
So yes, stay at the hotel, but skip the nearby McDonald's.
I recently stayed at this hotel on a Friday night. I was in town on business and the hotel I normally stay at was totally booked up. This hotel had a room available. The room was nice and very comparable in size and price to the other hotel. Where this hotel let me down was in the service. It took way too long to get checked in! The service seemed to be something the staff had to do rather than something they enjoyed to do. Very little smiles and trying to do too many things at once. In the morning the breakfast was good and hot with a nice variety but again the girl that was servicing the area was not very friendly. In my industry I am all about service and this particular hotel needs to do some re-training. Be a La Quinta rewards person is nice to gain points by staying here but you want to feel as though you are part of something great and not just an average guest.
You can't go wrong at this hotel. Wonderful staff, great breakfast, very clean, upscale linens, very clean rooms, hallways, lobby and dining areas. Much nicer than expected and well above most mid-priced hotels...and I traveled for work for years, staying in various hotels all week long. Location was even perfect, close to dining and shopping (even Walmart just down the street.)
This is definitely the BEST LaQuinta I have ever stayed at! The rooms were super clean, with a very comfortable bed, fast and free wifi, and a fridge and microwave. One of my big criteria for a good hotel is thick, soft towels, and the Palestine LaQuinta's towels were outstanding! Breakfast had lots of choices, including bacon, sausage, and eggs with cheese and salsa. The coffee was hot and plentiful, too. Honestly, if it wasn't for the logo on the shower curtain and notepad in the room, I would have thought I was staying at a fancier hotel! The staff were always friendly and helpful, too. I would gladly stay here again!
