"Worst stay EVER!!!!!"

First of all, i dont know what hotel these other reviewers are staying at but i assure you it ISNT this one. We are rewards members and always stay at LQ so we have been in many hotels in different cities. I booked this one on our may 13' cross country trip because of the reviews and usually the more expensive ones are newer and better. NOT SO HERE!! this is an older hotel and the rooms are too, or at least the one on the first floor we stayed in. Its been a long time since i stayed in a room with the sink outside the bathroom area, LQ changed that years ago. It had NO thermostat on the wall to regulate the temperature, it was the old style on/off/fan under the window unit, so we went up and down all night trying to get a comfortable temp.It had a stale odor, the carpet was the old green stuff that was stained. bathtub either had been patched or their attempt to put some kind of non-skid texture. it was bad. while in there i noticed a huge build up of dirt and crud on the base boards. To combat the paint chips that happen on wall corners they covered them in clear plastic strips. very tacky looking. just paint people. i can overlook plastic strips but not dirt and bad smell. now to the breakfast...very few choices. we got there just a few minutes after it started and i ran out of milk making oatmeal (that i brought myself) nobody there stocking or maintaining . their idea of "fresh fruit' is some brown , dried up oraanges and a couple apples. Coffee was really bad. desk clerk wasnt visible. Only thing i can say positive is that the bed wasnt uncomfortable, however when i pulled the fitted sheet back to inspect the mattress it was showing wear. What really burns me up is that THIS is the most expensive of the 3 LQ's in tucson??? Dont stay here, try one of the other 2.
We are members of the LaQuinta rewards program and have stayed at many LaQuintas over the past several years. They always have comfortable beds, and most importantly, our two cockers are welcome without a surcharge. This particular LaQuinta is the nicest we have ever encountered. Immaculately clean, up to date, and a full hot breakfast to boot. Highly recommended.
My friend and I were traveling cross country recently with one huge truck, one SUV, and four animals. We were looking for a safe property, near the freeway, a pet friendly location with clean rooms and comfortable beds! We found it with the help of AAA. The price per night was reasonable and affordable.
I would like to give a special shout out to Donna, who works the evening shift at this La Quinta. She was friendly, welcoming and thorough in her driving directions when we got lost. She loves animals and made us feel like stars when we checked in with four pets. She was lovely and friendly; what a nice welcome we received!
Parking was convenient, the area was quiet, lots of restaurants in the area, location felt safe and clean. Whilst the hotel is 13 years old, it is well-maintained, clean, fresh. The rooms were comfortable and tidy. There was very little nose outside, and I slept well. I just loved that it's a pet-friendly location and that so many dog and cat people could meet while traveling. La Quinta is smart to welcome people and their pets!
The food was fine, not fine dining, but just right for a La Quinta. I would recommend this property to fellow travelers, two or four-legged!
Short trip to Tucson with my wife and small family dog. This hotel staff was eager to make sure we were satisfied and comfortable. Even though full for at least our last night in the hotel, we were able to have good nights rest as it was quiet during the night time hours.
Convenient, comfortable, affordable, friendly, this hotel is a pleasant place to stay when visiting the Tucson area. I'll stay there again when in the area whether visiting friends or on business. The price is right and the people are very accomodating.
