This was my second weekly stay with the family at this location. The facility is great. The staff really shines as they are professional and provide helpful and exceptional customer service. We really enjoyed our stay.
On our trip to our ranch we
made plans to stay here, A great choice. Just an overnite, but what a beautiful property. Looked more like a Four Seasons inside. Please don't stay there in the spring or fall--we want to make sure they have a room for us.
My daughter and I (and our 80lb dog) decided to surprise our friend in Allen, Texas. Originally we were scheduled to stay in the La Quinta in Plano, but our friends husband said "NO WAY! Not a nice area!" He requested we stay at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Allen At The Village!
WOW! What a beautiful hotel! The beds were super comfy! The bathroom was gorgeous! Everything about our stay was wonderful! They even have areas where you can take your dog out and had the "clean up" station! That was SUPER convenient!
There were a couple of negatives, but they were minor.
1) Getting to the hotel was very confusing. We completely missed it and ended up about 5 miles down the road from where we needed to be...drove right past it and never noticed it! If you are going to stay there (which I would highly recommend), make sure to really map it out!
2) I always prefer to have a hand-held shower head. The shower was nice, but it had a fixed shower head. (not much of a complaint, really).
3) Our room was near the elevator (because it was the only 1st floor room available) and as such could be a bit loud, but we were on the main floor and that was nice when it came time to taking the dog out.
Because we were visiting friends, we did not spend much time in the hotel, so we did not check out any of their "extras", i.e. the free breakfast. However, it sure did smell good from our room!
The lobby was beautiful and the staff that helped us upon checkin were wonderful. When we went to checkout, it was 5:30am and there was no one to check us out. We waited for approximately 5 minutes and there was no bell to ding, so we just left our keys on the counter.
This location was only a hop, skip, and a jump away from stores and restaurants. It was probably a 20-30 minute drive into Dallas, but otherwise, it was a nice location...especially for our needs.
This was not a cheap location to stay at ($79/night + taxes), but it was a nice place for the money.
I would certainly recommend the La Quinta Inn & Suites Allen at The Village!!
Great hotel, very clean, great people. The elevator was slow, but everything else was great. The breakfast was really good as well. We would definitely stay here again. There are plenty of things to do close to the hotel, several restaurants and enough malls to keep the shopaholic busy for days!
I have now stayed at the hotel twice and the noise level is ridiculous. The staff could care less because they are big groups and spend lots of money here. Just got off the phone with the general manager and all h e could do was make excuses.
