"Very Good Value"

We spent three nights at this hotel for a very reasonable price. When we arrived we were upgraded for free. We chose this hotel due to it being pet friendly which was another great perk. The room was very clean and breakfast was good. The hotel staff was very friendly! There were a few areas needing repair in the room: torn chair, missing stone on fireplace, burned out lightbulb. But, these were very minor details. Overall, worth the stay!

"So- So"
3 of 5 stars Reviewed Apr 18, 2014

We just completed our stay at the LaQuinta Inn. The room was fairly small, we were told it would be a King with an alcove that contained a sleeper sofa for our daughter ( she was with us for the open house at ASU). When we walked into the first room, there was no room to open the sleeper sofa. We asked for another room. the Second room was the exact size as the first, however the sofa was turned so that the back was facing the same wall as the bed. Now the sofa could open, but walking around it required concentration. As our stay it was just for one night we dealt with it. What we could not deal with was the lack of hot water. Our daughter took a shower the night we arrived and she had no constant hot water, we took showers the next morning and still there was no constant hot water, it would switch from cold to hot and back to cold. Our bed was comfortable, the sleeper sofa was not.The room was noisy, we heard traffic from the street and water seemed to be running all the time. Breakfast was the usual continental, waffles, yogurt, cereal, muffins and other assorted breads, coffee and juice. As we plan to travel to Boone several more times over the next four years, we will be checking out the other hotels and see how this one compares, We plan to stay elsewhere for orientation in June.

"Clean, quiet, comfortable, affordable, and very nice staff*"

I had not previously stayed at a La Quinta, but booked this hotel because it was about half the price of another large chain in the area. Front desk staff were very helpful and the housekeepers were friendly and two told me how much they enjoyed working there. The room was clean and quiet, and the memory foam mattress was so comfortable that I actually looked forward to sleeping on it, a feeling one rarely has with hotel mattresses! *Of note, the hotel allows dogs in the rooms (I don't know whether in all or only some) and as clean as the hotel was and no dog hair that I saw anywhere, I did have some allergic response while staying there, so if you are highly sensitive or allergic to dogs, you might want to see if they have areas of the hotel where pets aren't allowed, or even consider staying elsewhere. I love dogs and animals and am willing to put up with a little discomfort to be around them, but not all may feel this way or have allergies mild enough to allow this. Nonetheless, I personally would stay there again.

"Cozy and Comfortable - Great Value!"

This hotel is one of the best values of any hotel that I have ever stayed at. Very comfortable and cozy. Great location and welcoming staff. If you are looking for a nice hotel in Boone with a great price. With its bark siding, twig interior stair railings, and fireplace in the lobby, this La Quinta is not your typical La Quinta.

"Friendly Staff Make This Hotel Special"
4 of 5 stars Reviewed Apr 4, 2014
Almost-Tica | Virginia
This is a very nice La Quinta, but the best thing about it is the staff. All the people we met were extremely friendly and helpful, a definite boost to the overall impression guests receive. The hotel is conveniently located, and the room we had was clean and comfortable. As in other La Quinta hotels, the heating/cooling system is noisy and hard to regulate. Breakfast was the standard fare--not a heap of variety or taste, but the breads and pastries we had were fresh, and the coffee, although the quality was far from good, was much better than the previous La Quinta where we stayed. The dining area opens onto a porch with tables and rocking chairs, a pleasant place to eat and/or relax in good weather. La Quinta is pet friendly and one of the few hotel chains that doesn't charge extra. We did not notice any unpleasant smells or other problems in or around this hotel--which attests to the efforts of the staff, and we appreciated being able to travel with our well-behaved cat. All in all, for the price and excellent service we received, we were happy and would return to this hotel again.
