This hotel is about 2 miles from the Zia Park Casino which is a plus. It is a nice modern hotel with good amenities and free breakfast. The beds were great they are very comfortable the rooms are nice size and the bathroom is nice as well. The only reason i dd not give this hotel a 5 star rating was the pool area stunk like black mold. I did not see any but the smell was very bad. When we checked in we asked for a late check out and the clerk said that i could check out at 1pm since i was a rewards member. this was great since we didnt check in until 330 am. The next morning maids were knocking on my door at 9 am we told them we had late check out and they left. 30 min. later the phone started ringing asking when we were leaving. little things like this really rub me the wrong way. I saw the midnight clerk write late checkout 1pm on my statement and the day shift didnt even look at it.
It so nice to be able to have your pet stay in the room with you when you travel. This was a very cean motel and the staff was friendly. I would highly recommend this motel when traveling through or staying Hobbs NM.
I am always treated very well at this hotel - would definitely reccomend it to other travelers. Room was clean, front desk people are very helpful and courteous, and have never had a problem while staying here.
The staff was very courteous and helpful. Enjoyed the indoor pool and the fitness room. . Less than a mile from the casino. Restuarants and shopping stores in the vicinity. Speedy check in. I was very pleased on how well I slept; the mattress was comforable, wish I could have taken it home. I will definitely stay again.
I just experienced the strangest occurrence ever. I've never been so baffled, dumbfounded, and surprised. I called to schedule a block of rooms for an upcoming track meet. Before explaining what I needed, I asked to speak with a General Manager to explain the situation. I was immediately hung up on. Thinking it was an accident, I called back to ask again, but the phone continued to ring for about 5 minutes without anyone answering. I called back a third time (call me the optimistic one) and again, no one answered. Safe to say, we won't be staying at La Quinta in Hobbs this time. It's a shame, they just missed out on an order that would have been worth several thousand dollars for one night.
