"Looking for a nice hotel just off I-40?"
Reviewed May 14, 2013

I-40 runs from the East Coast to California and I have traveled every inch of it. If you want a restful, overnight stay during a trip on this long stretch of road you only have to go a few miles south to Ft. Smith for an economical and pleasant stay.
The only complain I have was that the first room we were given had not been made up (no sheets on the bed). However, the gentleman at the desk, Greg, quickly took care of the problem and upgraded us to a king suite. The room we stayed in was clean and attractive. Breakfast included warm items and was well stocked/maintained by staff, who were very friendly. Good location, felt safe, good value. Would return.
I've stayed here several times in the past and will continue to stay here when in the area. I didn't give a 5 Rating for 2 reasons that I will explain. #1, I stay 4 nights a week in a hotel year round and this is one of those Hotels that the Housekeeping Dept. runs the show. The Do Not Disturb signs means nothing to them as they seem very intent to get into your room. If the signs out, they will call and keep calling till you talk to them!
#2, the WiFi is horrible. The room I had barely had a signal, much less any kind of speed. It was more like dial up in my room. I know I'm being critical but for road warriors like me, it's a big deal. The rooms are very clean and roomy but I would like to see a little more light in the rooms. It was a little dark even with all the lights on. Breakfast was good with more choices than most LaQuinta's. Staff is friendly and and helpful.
The rooms were clean and the breakfast area was well prepared, but I was a little disappointed in the work out room. It lacked air conditioning, or at least I could not figure out where it was, and consisted of a treadmill, an old stationery bike, and an elliptical in a very confined space. I was a little disappointed to find a gooey sticky spot on the desktop of the business center when I used it to make a call on my cellphone. Grossed me out a little but hopefully someone got to it by now. The people behind the desk were helpful and friendly, which always adds to the experience in a budget hotel.
Relatively new lodging place. Reasonable rates and convenient location. Within walking distance to several good eating places. Decent breakfast. I would stay here again if I were to travel to Fort Smith again.
