"terrible front office staff"

The La Quinta company has been very accommodating towards my nonprofit organization and they are very veteran/ military friendly. However, this hotel is awful. A manager from a La Quinta said she would help us out in finding a hotel to stay at in up coming cities and since La Quinta is military friendly and we are raising money for wounded veterans, I asked her to forward our information to the Fort Smith location. I called in trying to set up a donated room for the weekend. A front desk receptionist answered, "Christian" he called himself, he was not very helpful and rude on the phone. I asked him for business card information, which are always available on the front desk. He didnt want to give me any information on it. He did not want to take a message, he kept insisting on leaving a message on the GM's voicemail and he could not even direct me to leave a voice message on the manager's office phone (or the manager does not have his answer machine set up?). It is probably a good thing I was to far away to travel there in person... Anyways, I called back the next day, finally got a hold of the manager. I don't know if he is new at his job, does not like donating rooms or dislikes the military/veterans but he was rude on the phone and sounded like he had a lazy work ethic. I know from experience that La Quinta's have rooms they can donate on a weekly basis to nonprofit organizations. Normally a solid manager would ask for organization info or request more information, which I normally email information out if I am to far away to show up in person, but he just brushed off my call and tried to pawn it off on the corporation, making excuses when all he has to do is call them directly or verify we are a legit organization. For someone in the hospitality service, they need to find a new profession. The fact that i received poor service over the phone, I doubt I would of even stayed there in person, in fact, I'm at a real shady motel, but hey, the office staff is super nice and friendly. I am not sure how the hotel is, but I'm sure it is decent for a chain hotel? Had I and my organization got to stay here, we probably would of enjoyed it. Thanks for making the other chains look bad!
First room not cleaned. Clerk upgraded to a better room. Problem solved. Have stayed at other La Quinta before and this is the first time this has happened. If you want to stay at a great La Quinta try the one in just off Canal Street in New Orleans. Great Suites.
clean, friendly, professional staff close to eateries, downtown, when we asked about directions to historical sites the staff was very knowledgeable, close to the shopping area. The breakfast buffett had wonderful choices the staff kept the food dispensing area clean. we look forward to our next stay
I love traveling with my dog and staying at a pet friendly hotel like La Quinta. They have a hassle free pet policy which makes me always pick those hotels for my travels with my pet. They are also usually clean and comfortable.
La Quinta Inns are relatively inexpensive hotels that offer decent, clean, and economical rooms. This property is bright and clean and a good example of a La Quinta Inn. The executive and suite rooms are larger than typical and comfortable. Beds are not as comfortable as similar hotels in the Marriott brand, but they are quite acceptable. The breakfast is typical with eggs, meat, and make your own waffles. Seating is limited and I had to eat in the lobby on my recent visit. The location is good with many eating options adjacent to within about a mile. This is a good property and quite acceptable. I'll probably return if I am in the area again.
