"Old and nasty!"

When i checked in the staff was nice, but when i walked into the room the smell almost knocked me down. It had a strong musty, mold smell and the couch was old and dirty and wore out so bad it was out of shape, the bed appeared to be nice. The room was freezing and when i tried to turn the thermostat up it wouldnt go higher than 63. I left the room and went to turn my keys back to get a refund an had to wait about 20 min for someone to return to the front desk. I stay in hotels often and this is one of the most out dated nasty hotel i have been in.
Let me check in 2 hours early to prepare room for the evening. very kind with helping me to get in the room so I could surprise him. Breakfast had a good supply of eggs, beacon, waffles or cereal. Coffee was there around the clock.
The room was great for the price. Location was excellent. Very easy to find. Enjoyed the breakfast. Will recommend this hotel to my friends. Hotel staff were very good and very pleasant at all times. Hopefully when I stay at another La Quinta, my stay will be as enjoyable
Let me start off by saying this hotel was not the first choice on my list simply because I am not familiar with La Quinta branded hotels. Upon driving up, I noticed there is only greenery around the hotel, but no flowers. Would be nice for a simple pop of color. The person checking me in was very friendly and helpful, it was busy upon checking in to the hotel. I was sent to the third floor where the hall way smelled slightly of smoke, but our room was great, it had no smell at all. I had no issues with my room, however I must admit that the hotel is due for a moderate update. The television channels and quality was poor, I did speak with the manager while I was there, she was quite pleasant and friendly. (if memory serves me correctly, her name was Michelle). The manager informed us that they are switching cable providers and that the hotel will be getting 40+ HD channels, she also said that they are expecting new bedding and curtains fairly soon, which will be a nice addition to the already pleasant hotel! The breakfast at the hotel was good, everything was hot and fresh. I had the extreme pleasure of running into the head housekeeper in the morning as well. She was amazing! I asked her for additional towels and not only did she get them right away, she was beyond sweet! I would have no issues reccommending this hotel to other travelers. After reading other reviews, I can honestly say this hotel is a nice place to stay, when the updates are complete, I have no question that this will be even better! Thanks for the great stay!
The front desk staff is awesome and the rooms are clean!
Would recommend and stay again.
Lots to eat near by. All the doors are inside which makes you feel safer. The parking lot is well lite. I will stay again if I find myself in Mesquite. The indoor pool is big enough if you are staying with kids in the fall or winter.
