This is a friendly, professionally run location that cares about the service and comfort they provide to their guests. While they do not offer suites that make extended stays a little more comfortable and roomy, the rooms are very clean and well maintained.
The room prices are fair for what you get, but the real value in this hotel is its people.
I am away from home on business on average 2 weeks out of every month... after the airlines, TSA, rental car companies and city traffic take their toll, it was a nice surprise to be greeted with smiles, efficiency of check in, that made my day end better then it started.
This was a nice hotel. Location was a nice suburb of Chicago. Room was great and not outdated. Hotel allowed me to check in an hour early with no additional fee.
Was very pleased with the room. Only a couple of minor things that I could mention. Looked like they could have swept the bathroom floor a little better, and a few minor cosmetic issues (shower head plate not flush with the wall). Overall I was very pleased with the room.
It's about a 45 minute drive to downtown Chicago. Seemed like I ran into heavy traffic and traffic at a standstill no matter what time of day I headed into Chicago. Plan on about an hour to get to Wrigley field for a Cub's game. Be prepared for a tollway as soon as you get on the interstate near the hotel. This is a toll with no attendant and accepts coins only ($1.50), or paying online if you miss it.
In summary, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Do wish it was a little closer to downtown Chicago but the location was nice and the rooms were better than expected. No complaints about thin walls either.
I stayed there every time I went to Chicago with my two dogs. The hotel is clean and nice. It has everything you need. They also has a little fitness center. It really surprised me. Worth the money. Recommend if you travel with pets. They do not charge pet fee! It is free.
We stayed four nights. The hotel is older and has been refurbished so has new carpet, paint, tv, good mattresses. The staff was excellent with no exceptions. They were consistently helpful, friendly, and courteous. The breakfast is basic. Eg: The only fruit each morning was tart green apples. The breakfast area is a crowded postage stamp so we took food to our room. We wanted to take the train into the city each day and front desk had the name of a train station with no schedules. Maybe this isn't what most of their customers do. We figured it out using the Hinsdale station. Parking there is monthly so you have to park about a mile away so allow extra time. Trains run often until 9am then about every hour to union station. There are a lot of good restaurants within a mile of the hotel. There were a few maintenance items in the room like a bathroom door that wouldn't lock. The deluxe king room has a nice chair but a pretty small space
Was very impressed with quiet neighborhood, easy access to restaurants, clean rooms & friendly staff. Our bed was comfortable & I was impressed with the pillows, I'm picky. We didn't have their breakfast but did at Dennys which was across from hotel. The hotel had delivery so had pizza the first night there. We went to the Shedd Aquarium,Navy Pier,a Walgreens that use to be a bank, that's a must see. All in All was a Great Stay & would stay again!
