"Good for the price, clean room, and quiet"

For $100 A NIGHT 15 minutes from the Big Easy, this was a good deal. Front desk worker was a big grumpy when we first came in. Although she set us up with our reservation, as routine--she wasn't very hospitable with answering questions about parking, etc. We missed the breakfast too, unfortunately. We got there just in time to see the lady putting the food away. SHe offered us what she could, muffins, fruit, and yogurt. But got a good sleep, and the room was super clean and you could tell it had been remodeled/updated.
The only thing I could suggest is for the front desk person to show a bit more friendliness when guests check in. My partner is very friendly and tried to engage her, but she wasn't into having a conversation. Everyone can have a bad day, and it was later in the night--but it makes a difference with a hotel experience for the hotel staff to make you feel welcome, as compared to an obligation. With that sad, a younger man helped us the next day get some more towels and with some information we needed and he was quick to provide us with what we needed. And also very friendly and courteous.
The main reason we stay at LaQuinta is that they accept pets. For the age of this location, it is well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful. This location is easier to enter and exit than the location on Causeway Blvd.
We stayed for 5 days. The property is older but the rooms have been updated recently. The air conditioner was relatively quiet and the room was very clean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, getting us a fridge when our room did not contain one. Breakfast was standard fare, and the Belgian waffles were tasty.
I would recommend staying at the LaQuinta in Kenner to everyone traveling in that area.
When we travel to New Orleans we do not mind staying this far from the hub of the city. We have been traveling to New Orleans for over 40 years so we know the city and how to travel on the city and suburb streets. Therefore, staying in Kenner is no problem for us.
Some friends and I came in for Jazz Fest and I elected to stay at this location due to high prices for hotels closer to downtown. The drive is not bad at all, only about a couple of minutes. We took a cab once and it was about $30, I would recommend just driving down there. Check in was easy and my room was ready and clean upon arrival! I had requested a roll away bed and it was already in the room. I didn't have any problems with noise. The beds were comfortable. Bathroom is a little small, but that wasn't a big deal. Breakfast was good and had a pretty good variety of items. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking to save some money and still be relatively close to everything there is to do! My group and I had a fun and safe experience!
