I would recommend staying at the LaQuinta in Kenner to everyone traveling in that area.
When we travel to New Orleans we do not mind staying this far from the hub of the city. We have been traveling to New Orleans for over 40 years so we know the city and how to travel on the city and suburb streets. Therefore, staying in Kenner is no problem for us.
Some friends and I came in for Jazz Fest and I elected to stay at this location due to high prices for hotels closer to downtown. The drive is not bad at all, only about a couple of minutes. We took a cab once and it was about $30, I would recommend just driving down there. Check in was easy and my room was ready and clean upon arrival! I had requested a roll away bed and it was already in the room. I didn't have any problems with noise. The beds were comfortable. Bathroom is a little small, but that wasn't a big deal. Breakfast was good and had a pretty good variety of items. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking to save some money and still be relatively close to everything there is to do! My group and I had a fun and safe experience!
Hands down we received the best service ever at our stay this weekend. They did everything in their power to make or stay enjoyable. This is a older hotel but the room have all been remodeled and include a mini frig. and microwave. Our stay was on a busy weekend so paid more than normal but were very happy with our hotel choice. Dora at the front desk was a delight.
We found the hotel in very good condition. Staff was friendly and helpful. The size of the bathrooms was the only real downside. The vanity area was spacious, but the tub/toilet area was very, very small. You had to turn sideways to close the door.
This was the second time staying here. Great location, friendly staff, beds are very comfortable, clean room. With one exception.. The comforter had pizza sauce stains on it. They need to be more cautious of cleaning those. Overall, we will definitely be back. Very friendly and safe atmosphere.
