We were tired when we got to the hotel without a reservation. We were able to check in immediately. I like the no-smoking policy. Rooms were roomy and clean. Good hot breakfast the next morning. I recommend this hotel. Checkout was fast also.
I travel to dog shows, Always have one dog with me, sometimes a friend or relative as well.
Cannot beat the room, rate, or friendliness and helpfulness of the employees. Great bed too. Location was very quiet, nice pool and the check in person went out of her way to help me with a "problem" that would have ruined my trip if she had not done so.
I realize not all dogs are as well behaved and non-destructive as my 2 small dogs, therefore, the 'pet fee' charged by most hotel chains is justifiable. When my husband and I was planning our trip to Bossier City/Shreveport, Louisiana, we were delighted to find that La Quinta does NOT charge a pet fee. For folks like us, retired on a fixed income, this is a blessing. In addition, the Bossier City La Quinta was clean, comfortable and every one on the staff we encountered was gracious. La Quinta is now tops on our list of hotels!
The best nights rest I have ever had away from home! The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. I would love to have brought it home with me. The room was very clean and the service was excellent. They had a wide variety of breakfast items offered and had plan on eating, but we overslept. I will return to this Inn in the future.
Because it had good reviews even though it was much cheaper than alternatives, we decided to try this La Quinta (note that I am generally a fan of La Quinta, *especially* if you are traveling with animals).
EPIC FAIL.
This is really a low-end hotel. Loud. Smelly rooms. Uncomfortable. Old. Lots of traffic all night long. Horrible breakfast. Broken ice machine. Just all-around bad news.
AVOID!
There are hotels just across the street that are WAAAAAAY nicer, even though they are more expensive. Sadly, the difference in price seems justified, and if you actually want to sleep and enjoy your stay, then you better try elsewhere.
