"Believe me, it's worth the money!!!"

A La Quinta traveler |
Me and my girlfriend stayed in this La Quinta Inn (900 Dolorosa St) for a week and we loved this hotel so much. We believe this is a hotel that one should definitely choose, if you are looking for fair price, clean room, awesome and knowledgeable staff, wonderful swimming pool and great breakfast....They don't have a shuttle in the hotel, but the bust is just right in front of the hotel and it's like 5 minutes away to downtown or river-walk, costs $1.2/person... What else can you ask for? BTW, the best room you can choose is, ask them if you can stay in a room that faces the swimming pool...it's just wonderful view...that is, if you are staying there for long though. :)
We lucked out with this place! Booked ahead of time and got a great rate, which made us nervous... but the room was impeccibly clean, bed was comfy and had good pillows/sheets. Huge bathroom!
You can tell the staff at this place really take pride in their company. Room was cleaned each morning almost as soon as we took a step out the door! (Other places we stayed we could come and go, come and go, and still the room was not cleaned until late afternoon.)
We never made it to the free breakfast but if it keeps in line with the room and service, I'm sure it is great.
Only suggestion would be for front desk staff to point out the bus/shuttle/tours that are available. Alamo and all IS within walking distance IF you don't mind walking quite a ways. First day, we ended up driving and paying to park only to figure out we were parked about halfway between the Alamo and the hotel. So we walked the rest of the time. But hints about which public transportation was best for our needs would have been nice.
I will not hesitate to stop at La Quintas anywhere now, based on our experience at this one.
We had a decent room for 4 days. The beds are very comfortable. The room could use a little upgrade. Location was quiet. Price was excellent. The continental breakfast was very good. Best of all Diego the desk clerk was very attentive/polite/friendly. Thanks Diego for all your help.

We were pleasantly surprised with our whole stay. Diego at the front desk was absolutely Wonderful, and really set the tone for our night in San Antonio. The pet policy was outcome based (e.g., additional charges based on behavior problems) which was great for us (well behaved pup, brought crate from home). The room was standard but clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for us. It was an easy walk to the Alamo, beautiful Riverwalk, and the Market square (tourist-y but nice) was right across the street. Nothing fancy, but everything we needed and perfect for the price. If we are in San Antonio again we will definitely stay at this location. c
We searched for LaQuinta and found exactly what we wanted in the perfect location on our little trip. The facilities and price were extremely satisfactory. I would recommend it to anyone. This was our first vacation in 15 years and I remembered this La
Quinta Inn from our previous trip in 1998.
