"Excellent Hotel for Pets!"

Military Family moving to new location. The hotel was a great value and we have no complaints. The staff was nice and we were well received. Co-located with Denny's.
We would definitely stay again with our dog.
1.We reserved a king Non smoking a week in advance. Upon check in we were told rooms were 1st come 1st serve and all non smoking Kings were already occupied. We got a non smoking double bed instead.
2. The plumbing is horrible! Our toilet stopped flushing so we call the front desk and the lady tells us 'come get the plunger, our maintenence is gone' my husband goes down to the lobby to retrieve the plunger and the front desk attendant tells him 'she doesnt have another plunger she already loaned them all out' (she wouldnt allow us to switch to a room with a properly working toilet either)
3. Bugs!! We saw 2 cockroaches on the ceiling above our bed abd a few small spiders close to the air conditioner! Eeeek!!
4. After a night of restless sleep (due to a noisy little dog next door to us) the shower was ice cold.
Needless to say I would have gladly paid more for a decent nights stay at a better hotel. We were dissapointed in this Property because we have been customers of Laquintas for many years all over The US! Id have to say this was the WORST Laquinta we had stayed in!!
Everything was as promised at time of reservation... everything was perfect for our needs and we will be back for sure... and I'd forgotten how nice it is to park in front of the room door!
What I like about the LQ is a consistent good room for what you pay.
I also had called the night before needing a ground floor, no smoking room and talked with Liz... she said she'd take care of it and when we arrived the next day she had what was promised!
I recieved rude service from a desk clerk named Joshua. I waited over 2 hours after check in for my room to be cleaned only to find out the lock was broken. He refused to switch us to a different room and instead made us wait for maintenence to come fix it. Another hour passes before we got to our dingy small and overpriced room. Later that night the elavator broke as well as their cable and internet service. There is a realy nice holiday inn across the street that is a much better choice.
Took a trip on my motorcycle to Abilene to see a good friend and figured id stay at a La Quinta. My stay was great. The beds are really comfy and its nice having a hot breakfast and coffee in the morning. I felt very relaxed staying here and i look forward to staying here again
