"If you like La Quinta..."

If you like La Quinta, the other two in Lubbock may be better choices.
No internet. Many promises of getting it fixed. I heard I'll get the maintenance man on it, we are resetting the routers, it is fixed now. Each time it wasn't fixed. I checked out after the first night. My laptop worked fine at the next hotel.
Otherwise, the back of the bathroom door was quite dirty. The cleaning people probably never saw it as the bathroom was so small that it was difficult to close the door when you were in there. The room smelled musty, but otherwise looked clean.
I have stayed at La Quinta before and never have I been as disappointed as I was at this particular one. The floor in the bathroom was dirty as was the bathtub. The room was very smelly and very small. I would not recommend this particular La Quinta nor will I stay there. I travel to Lubbock frequently and I was really disappointed.
Outlets in room didn't always work; bathroom wasn't very clean; beds were nice and comfortable; breakfast was just okay. If you are only there for a couple of days and don't need something nice, go for it, otherwise I would look for a different place.
Non excet the gulten free breakfast and lactouse free the people are so wounderfull here and are always there for us. Please pass this along the changes are great and I have and my family been going to this Suites for 10 years now. Keep up the good work
"La Quinta Civic Center, Lubbock, TX - I'll never stay there again"

I just attended a conference in Lubbock and stayed at the La Quinta Civic Center because it was walking distance to the Convention Center. My group had 6 groups and we all were miserable. No hot water in some rooms. The television in my room didn't work. The non-smoking room smelled like smoke. I called ahead to make sure they had a coffee pot. At 5;30 am when I tried to make coffee, one part of the coffee pot was missing. Later when I mentioned this to the Front Desk, they said they hand out disposable "baskets" for the coffee at check-in - but we didn't receive any - so no coffee. The carpet was so dirty we wore socks to not walk on the floor. We only stayed 2 nights and were happy to check out. We talked to others who also stayed there and they all had very similar experiences and were very unhappy with the hotel. The Convention Bureau who sell major state conventions should require hotels closest to the convention center to upgrade their facilities. Also the room wasn't cleaned until after 4 pm on both days.
