"BMT Graduation - Only 6.5 miles from Luke gate at Lackland AFB!"

This hotel was not far at all from the Luke entrance gate at Lackland AFB. There are restaurants, gas stations, a mall, movie theater, Starbuck's on the corner and Sam's club all within minutes from the hotel. There is a swimming pool on site, ice machine to fill coolers for the day to keep water bottles cold during on base activities and the rates were much cheaper than other hotels that were right outside the gates or in the Riverwalk area. They even allow pets to stay for free, this was our deciding factor.
This hotel doesn't clean their homes well. The toilet seat was not bolted down. The toilet had a ring in it and green gunk on the hinges of the toilet. The doors and walls were filthy and marked up with a marker. The chairs were very dirty with built up dirt on them. It smelled as if it hadn't been clean for along time. I am disabled and it was very difficult for me to get comfortable. T
First of all when we arrive, we din't find a parking space. The AC unit is too close to the bed, it was very uncomfortable sleep when all the cold air is on your body. And is very noisy, I can hear the cars on the high way and people talking outside. The personnel in the office was nice. I din't recommend this hotel.
Because of the aging inventory of the LaQuinta chain, you never know quite what you are going to get. Might be a high quality property. Might be a very old run-down property. This was the case with this property. Seemed to be a lot of shady looking people staying at this place. Neither I nor the group I was traveling with felt safe in this property.
This place is more like a motel than a hotel. The rooms are very small. No refrigerator or microwave in the rooms. The main dining area is next to the guest entrance. It is very small and not well lit. The surrounding area look unsafe. Huge insects were crawling on the carpet, which frightened my children. This hotel was probably a motel which was minimally upgraded into what they called a hotel or Inn.
