"Great Quality & Sevice"

This hotel provides a great value with service quality greater than some more elite hotels I've stayed in. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. No request was turned down and no question went unanswered. My room was well maintained & the pool area kept very clean. While the breakfast lacked healthy choices the City Diner next door offered some of the best pancakes I have ever tasted. My one warning would be that this hotel supports the accommodations of traveling construction workers who DO rise/move around very early in the morning which may disturb light sleepers.
I don't understand everyones reviews, I based my accomidation according to it! Nevet again, this place is aweful! Hotel was filthy, carpet looked like it has not been cleaned in years. Bathroom filthy, shower water was extremely hard , brushing my teeth was torture because of of water. I never forget to bring my own soap, to my bad luck this time I did, their soap gave me and my girls a bad rash! I felt itchy the entire timei I was in the hotel. That's how discusting it was, and the only reason I didn't change hotels was because my husband was embarsassed to leave! Beds gave us back ache, so during the night hekept saying that he should have listened to me! Please warning.... pay the extra $20-50 and stay at a nicer hotel, its worth it!!!
Hotel was clean and safe for a woman traveling alone on business. Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Avoid the French Quarter as they WILL tow your car for any reason! Ask the staff to call you a cab. Ask for recommendation on restaurants... they are a big help! The City Grill in the parking lot is AWESOME!
Was the staff great, yes. Was the room clean, yes. Did we feel safe leaving our stuff there, yes. Was there free parking, yes. Is it close to I-10, yes. Was it quiet at night, yes. Was this a luxury hotel with lots of amenities we most likely wouldn't use anyway, no. We were there to experience New Orleans not a hotel room, so we were basically using the room to sleep, shower, and relax before going out at night. If you are staying a day, the French Quarter prices might be worth it. Otherwise, for the 6 days we were there this place was a great deal.
Con: The rooms are outdated and a little run down.
Pro: Pretty much everything else. Staff is great, the area is safe, parking is free, you have the normal mall and Target type deals down the street as well as some great eateries nearby. Tic Toc Diner across the street has great people (overheard the owner wishing the owner of the business next door luck on his opening). Downtown New Orleans is about 6 miles away.
We paid $84 for the room and pretty much got our money's worth. The bed was very comfortable, reasonably quiet, in a decent neighborhood, and the A/C worked. The free breakfast was OK, and at least didn't run out of things early. On the other hand, there was no toilet paper, there was a fold-up bed we didn't ask for cluttering up the room, and a wet spot on the run. Not great, but not a dump, either.
