Overall the hotel was okay. The hallway smelled like smoke, but our room did not. It was easy access to I20, but seemed a bit overpriced for what we got. $100 a night seemed a bit much. It was more of a $80 night room. However, I would stay again if I needed a spot in MS.
The hotel is located near dining facilities for dinner and lunch. For breakfast you need only travel down the hall way for and excellent assortment of goodies and beverages. The staff was very friendly and and always asking how things were going. If you are going to Jackson and need a nice place to stay but do not want to break the bank...make this your selection.
This hotel is so average I am having a hard time remembering it, only 3 days later. What I loved - dog friendliness! Lots of room for the dogs to walk. Bed was comfy and clean. My Likes - Cute little 'gold member' treats on desk - amos cookies and bottle of water and oh, the tv and ac worked great. What I didn't like. The door leaked light really bad. Do dog folks get "special" rooms? 'cause the carpet in my room was gross - but it was vacuumed, just not shampooed. Desk lady wasn't engaged - no smiles, just basic, brief courtesy. I did have to wear my ear plugs - jolly green giant upstairs with clod hopping shoes.
I stay in alot of hotels in my sales travels and was utterly blown away by this small, unassuming hotel in Pearl, MS! Nice hotel, inside & outside, comfortably appointed rooms.
The level of comfort features rivals most boutique hotels I've stayed in but what propels this small hotel past all of them is the professional personnel whose obvious goal is to please me or so it seems. :-)
I'm not so sure I want everyone to know about my hidden gem....
You won't find a friendlier staff, cleaner rooms, or a better price than you will at this hotel. I actually changed my route to stay here for the umpteenth time because I always have a great experience. Chameka, part of the management team, will ensure that your stay is a pleasant one.
