A La Quinta traveler |
I am Elite member so I almost always stay at La Quinta's. This hotel is perfectly located if you are spending any time at the River Walk in San Antonio.
Hotel is clean and staff are friendly. Just want to warn you that the parking is not free, in fact it is $21 to self park and $25 to valet park. My only problem was that this was not made available during booking and the staff kind of sheepishly asks you which level of parking you prefer in a manner that throws you off, and makes you ask ???
Then they explain that they do not own the parking lot or grounds...It should be made know up front when booking that there will be additional charges for parking and what those charges are...
This hotel is in a very convenient location to everything. It's walking distance to the Alamodome, Riverwalk, Morton's Steakhouse and right across the street to the mall. The 12:00pm check-out made it great for us after a night of excitement down the riverwalk.
Perfect location, Excellent Rooms, Delicious Breakfast, Clean and Organized. This is not the standard La Quinta 3 or 2 star hotels. I would consider four or five star hotel. They allowed us to stay to 3 PM before check out. Jennah and Taumesha were more than nice at the reception. May be the parking is expensive, but it's ok! Rooms were clean with a lot of space to move about, bathrooms were very classy. Room had a frig and a microwave. Thanks management for such a nice job. One more thing, they provided a free shuttle to the airport.
Stayed here during the NSTA convention. GREAT LOCATION to convention center, airport, AT&T areana, tourist sites, etc. Clean room, comfortable bed, quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In & Out parking ($21/day, I suggest it be cheaper if not FREE for guest). Definitely recommend and would stay here again if ever returning to San Antonio.
When I first arrived at the hotel there were no rooms that was available yet, but the lady at the desk (Courtney) was very friendly and fast about contacting housekeeping and getting me a room although the other person on the other side didn't sound so friendly. The rooms are a little out dated with the furniture but the bed was very comfortable and your housekeeping staff did a wonderful job with keeping our room nice and clean throughout our entire stay. The breakfast was wonderful but the staff was rude and rushing me so he could close down the ktchen he said. Overall besides the one problem I had it was a wonderful stay and I will be back soon!
