All was good. Pool not kept up as well as it should have been but everything else was very nice. Staff & place very nice and well kept up. Would recommend to friends and relatives. Due to the I Hop closing next door I would suggest something besides the contenental breakfast be offered. Like a short order menu or buffet of sorts be done to ensure customer satifaction be asured.
This is an aging LaQuinta...However, beds are comfy, location is convenient to the freeway and to downtown, breakfast isn't fancy but adequate. What makes this place GREAT is the customer service...especially by front desk clerk Djae. This property is a good value for the budget-minded customer.
I found this hotel to be a very nice hotel in its price range. Clean, spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed, very friendly staff. If you are looking for a "Ritz-Carlton Experience," then this is not the hotel for you. But then again, it doesn't carry that price tag, either!
My only minor point is the the breakfast foods (waffles, bagels, muffins) were all highly processed foods....all came in plastic bags with loads of chemicals to keep them 'fresh.' They should consider sourcing local alternatives that are truly fresh. But that is a minor issue. the hotel was a great value!
I was very pleasantly surprised with my stay here. I had no problems getting my room, and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and clean also. Everything worked in the room and the noise level was minimal. I will definitely stay here again.
Upon arrival (10:30pm) we were pleasantly surprised to walk into a room that did not have any funky smells (after reading some of the reviews), and the air conditioner was on. The room appeared clean, and after a quick inspection of the small, full sized mattresses (some sagging), we retired for the evening. A few door slams in the general area woke us, but that was the extent of any disturbance. Bathroom had one small stain on the wall, and the lamp above the table did not work. All in all, it was a decent place to sleep. I did wake with a spider bite on my cheek, but guess that could happen anywhere.
