"Very clean & a GREAT night's sleep!"

We stayed on a last minute change of plans, and we don't regret it. There were no regular rooms available, and the kind desk clerk gave us a suite for the price of a King room. The room was great, and the bed was beyond comfortable!! We did not enjoy the continental breakfast, but it sounded good. Coffee maker in the room was the most we needed. Large flat screen TVs made it fun to watch a movie in bed. Right off I5; great location.
We want to go back next year. Fabiola, Brian and Robbin were very helpful.
Great place. Pool was awesome .Rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfortable, I think that was the best we slept in a long time.
We have been going to Ashland for years, and tried a variety of accommodations. Now that we always have our two small dogs with us, this is the best choice by far. It is a bit out of town, but very friendly, always clean and pleasant, great value for the money.
Really good hotel and pets were well received and happy.
Clean and spacious room, staff welcoming. Quiet and peaceful.
Nice pool.
Did not take advantage of the breakfast offered.
Parking available near room.
On May 15, My wife and I stopped in Ashland overnight on the way to a different vacation destination. We stayed here, after having mostly good experiences with LQ's throughout the west coast.
We were not disappointed. We immediately loved the Shakespearean decor of the place, and Brian, the front desk clerk, fit right in. We expected him to greet us in Shakespearean English!
Indoor pool looked nice, but was a little cold so we didn't stay in it long. The hot tub should actually be called a "warm tub." Luckily, I was so tired from traveling all day that this isn't much of an issue, because our room--204--had a nice big tub perfect for soaking.
Which brings us nicely to the room itself: well-furnished, thoughtfully designed, with a nice view out the window: probably the nicest hotel view we've ever had of a meadow and mountains. The Interstate is mere yards away, but we never heard it and you have to look hard to even see it from the room. We slept beautifully,
One oddity is the necessity for using a key to operate the in-room heating/AC. You have to slide your room key into a special slot by the door to get the system to work. We had to mess with it a few times before we finally figured it out.
Breakfast in the morning? This is the nicest layout of any LQ I've been in, complete with real silverware and plates rather than the paper plates and plastic silverware other LQ's use. We kept looking around for the tuxedoed busboy to take our plates away and refill our water! USA Today is available. It's fine for what it is, but I like to read the local papers, too. Alas, neither of the gas stations on the block sell the local papers. However, I do not fault the hotel for that.
Wide selection of pamphlets and flyers on things to do in Ashland. We did not explore the town as we were just passing through, but we did get several ideas of activities we'd like to experience the next time we head that way.
All in all, wonderful experience for the first night of our vacation. If we are ever in Ashland
again, this will be our lodging of choice.
