Spent 3 night in this hotel. Staff was extremely welcoming and efficient. Location was close to many of the attactions we were there to visit so it worked out quite well. The designated pet area was clean with no telltale pet droppings around so it was a welcome change from other pet friendly hotels. Breakfast had plenty of food to choose from although I would have liked some bacon or sausage. Check in and check out were hassle free and they even provide cookies at the front desk each night for guests.

This was our second stay at this hotel and it was extremely pleasant both times. Loved the hot cookies @ 7pm. The staff was cheerful and helpful. We are definitely coming back here for our next trip to Newport. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

We frequently travel with our two well behaved labs and, as many of you pet owners know, not all motels are pet friendly and, if they are, often charge a per pet fee. It can be a real hassle finding quality motels that accept pets for no additional charge. LaQuinta remains our first choice for accommodations when traveling with or without our pets. Their 100% smoke free rooms are a plus, as neither one of us smoke nor appreciate exposure to second hand smoke. The staff at the Newport LaQuinta were extremely friendly and helpful in suggesting local attractions and dinning options. We found their suggestions to be excellent choices. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Micro fridge, microwave, dishwasher, small sink, coffee maker with supplies and basic utensils were welcomed. Iron and ironing board and hair dryer (I'm bald) were available but not used. Still nice amenities to have if needed. Breakfast menu was typical for LaQuinta and very adequate. The pool and spa and surrounding area were all very clean and well maintained. I was the only one using those facilities at 8a.m.. They are available for use 24hrs/day. Our room on the first floor was very quiet and convenient for addressing our dogs needs. Pet area was supplied with poop bags and the grounds were nicely maintained, in part, due to other responsible pet owners. The motel is a short walk away from the Hatfield Science Center, Oregon Coast Aquarium, Rogue Brewery and Pub, boat basin, charter boats and bay pier for crabbing and sightseeing. It is located a short drive away from the old bay front shops and the center of town.

I have stayed in many hotels, and La Quinta has to be one of the best, if not the best ! From the night auditor to the day staff, they could not have been nicer and ready to please. No question as to where I will stay on my next trip. Thank You----- Evelyn Epperson

We stay here every time we go to newport! We love that it's family friendly as well as pet friendly! There is a pool for the kids and even tho there are families the halls are peaceful! Dogs stay free just another great bonus! The continental breakfast is great biscuits and gravy eggs and waffles! The location gives you easy access to everything and the aquarium is in walking distance !
