There are two LaQuinta facilities at this intersection on the north side of Albquerque off I-25. Stay at this one if you want quiet, quiet, quiet, great staff, and lovely rooms. The hotel does not look that much like a hotel on the outside, but the all-interior corridor LaQ is delightful on the inside. Breakfast could be improved, but I can't complain about anything else. I stay at many hotels during a year, traveling with and without a cat and this hotel is great for both! It also happened to be very near a favorite yarn store of mine :)
We have been having excellent stays at La Quintas. This room was very comfortable, bed wonderful, everything clean and nice, and it was quiet - we were chilly & turned on the heat, which was also quiet and worked perfectly - no problem with hot/cold/hot all night. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the breakfast area - the waffle makers need an update! Poured batter in, turned over, and the whole thing collapsed, splashing most of the batter onto the table! Oops! However, an attendant appeared like magic, cleaned it all up and assured me it was no problem. Fixed another waffle and went on. All the staff was very nice and friendly.
We only stayed here for one night, and it was perfectly adequate for a short stopover. It's on the freeway, but the entrance is just around the corner on another street, so that can confuse you GPS. It's a bit of a long way from the old town and the downtown but that's not a problem if you have a car.
The room was comfortable and a good size with decent facilities. The breakfast was OK but not amazing - there was plenty to fill you up. Unfortunately the pool was out of service when we were there, which was a shame because it was a hot day.
Short & sweet. Don't stay here. Not clean. Carpets are downright gross. Ice machine broken, suspect door lock on our room, advertised recliners in rooms(not). Even a friendly staff can't make that work
The location is terrific - just off the Interstate; this is one of my favorite motels; the staff are helpful & courteous; breakfast was nice; the bed & pillows are like sleeping on a cloud - just great!; & it was quiet. I booked for my return trip, as well.
