A La Quinta traveler |
This was one of the best Hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was very freindley and made me feel like I was at home. The breakfasts were very good. and the dinning area was always neat and clean. The lobby was open and freindly to all guests. Just a great place to hang out and surf the web or read a book.
The girl at the front desk could not have been nicer or more helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, especially the reclining chair. Best of all was the bed. It was the most comfortable one we've had on our trip.
Not sure what you're going to get at LaQuinta's. Some are wonderful, some awful and this one falls downside of the middle.
Bathrooms are in need of a tear out and re-do.
It was cleaned, you can tell, but some stains are just there and not able to clean up.Check-in was very frustrating. Clerk left us and another couple standing there, while she went up to deliver a remote control. Never apologized for leaving us there, just chatted away like, 'no big deal".
Breakfast thin but we usually dont eat much anyway.
Can't really walk to restaurants but there are several options within 3 miles drive.r
Having read the reviews of this La Quinta in Albuquerque on tripadvisor I was somewhat apprehensive about this particular property for a week long stay. When checking in I asked the clerk if she had a king room available and after checking, she said she did not, but she did have a king suite she could let me have. Yes, the carpet was stained, the elevator entryway could have used a good vaccuming, and the housekeeping leaves something to be desired, but our non-smoking king suite was perfect for our week long stay. It was comfortable and had been updated with new bedding and tv. Apparently the suite we had was adjacent to some smoking rooms as the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming one afternoon. My wife complained to the front desk and immediately they were in the hallway outside our room spraying an odor killer to kill the cigarette smell. While she was talking with the desk clerk she mentioned that we had noticed some debris on the carpet in our room which were inoccuous. She was told that the hotel had been having some "issues" with their cleaning staff. The debris was still on the carpet when we checked out. A comfortable updated room that was adequate for our week long stay.
This property is across the freeway from 2 nice La Quinta Inns. This property is very run down, stains on the carpets, odors, just not good. The pool was closed with no explanation but I am not sure I would have used it anyway. It is cheap but if it is cheap you want, go to a newer Motel 6. On the plus side, the desk clerks were very good.
