We have stayed here several times and have always been pleased with this location. The beds are heavenly! This location is close to major interstate, shops and restaurants. Very good quality and value for the price.

My only concern was the first impression of the smoke smell in the lobby. I was really worried our room would smell of smoke too, but it did NOT. It didn't smell at all. Really nice beds and everything was clean and everything worked in the room. The clerks were great too. They need to get a better filter system for the lobby area but other than that, it's a great hotel in a great area. I wish they would make all hotels smoke free.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel being La Quinta members for the points earned when we travel and it being pet friendly. It is a clean hotel and the staff is helpful and very friendly. This area is safe and clean with a mall, movies, nice restaurants, etc. in surrounding area not far from hotel. If you are visiting the surrounding hospitals you can find hotels that are closer because I have but this is the best hotel and area all around that I have stayed at. I will be returning and plan on staying at this La Quinta again. There is a down side and that is that the beds are too small if you are needing a room with two beds. I believe the beds are only full size where in most hotels they are queen size but if you can stand the smaller type bed then it is fine. There is no problem with the beds you get a good comfortable nights sleep we just like having more room since we have a king size bed at home. In many pet friendly hotels you can tell right away they accept pets, this hotel is not that way always has a clean fresh smell.

The front desk help was always 1st rate and professional both arriving and departing. We did not complain to the young lady at the front desk regarding the condition of our room. It's painfully obvious the housekeeping management/supervision have not been doing their jobs for some time overseeing the housekeeping performance. The main entryway and breakfast area reeked of cigarette smoke as did our bathroom oddly enough even though this is a no-smoking hotel. The stairwell to the upper floors is in desperate need of being swept and cleaned and appeared to not have been touched in months. The building both inside and the exterior is tired and is in need of renovation. A coke machine located just off the lobby was a noise maker the entire time we were a guest and is in need of replacement. Our room upon arrival was not clean. We found obvious dried urine on the toilet bowl, hair on the bathroom floor and tub floor, and the room floor carpet was in need of being swept. It was late evening when we arrived. We cleaned the bathroom ourselves, made the best of it, skipped the included breakfast and, and left early the next morning. We felt if we'd made the effort to move to another room we'd simply find the same shoddy housekeeping. This is a pet friendly hotel but no effort is given by hotel management towards those with pets to clean up after their pets outside. The grassy area's around the hotel is a dog feces factory. I completed a customer survey questionnaire, I was contacted by email and told the housekeeping supervisor/manager has been out sick, and that my comments were appreciated.

I have stayed at this hotel while traveling to Texas for the holidays for the last 4-5 years. It is just wonderful, and a perfect hotel for weary travelers! It is next to a mall, so there is shopping and eating all around - multiple restaurants to pick from! And, if you forgot to pack something, tons of stores surround the area, so you can replace the forgotten item, or just shop for the holidays!
