We stayed here on a road trip with our dog. The staff was welcoming and lobby clean. The building was old though the interior has been renovated. The walls are thin, so you can hear the people around you pretty easily, which wasn't a problem for us, because we sleep with white noise to block it out.
If you do not like dogs, do not stay here. Dogs will be dogs, so if one wakes up at 6am and starts barking, you can't be upset. Our dog is very quite, but she did get up and go to the door to find out what was going on, which woke my husband.
Breakfast was good with juice, coffee, cereal, waffles, boiled eggs, breads and such. The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Overall, you get more than what you pay for at this location. We would stay here again.
The hotel is an older one. Our room had big stains on the carpet. The carpet was wet, not sure why. Bathroom was very clean. The microwave did not work and refrigerator had someone's food in it...the staff was nice and friendly. The price for this room was definitely not worth it.
We spent one night at this hotel on the first leg of a road trip. The room was not large, but comfortable and clean. The breakfast selection was quite basic. Still, given the low rate, we were quite satisfied and were happy with our choice.
The hotel is ideally located on the I85 although it is tucked behind a closed down restaurant. We were greeted by a reasonably friendly desk clerk. There was a slight smell of cigarette smoke inside the hotel more of this later. Our room was reasonably clean and had all the usual facilities one expects to find in a La Quinta. On lying in bed I looked up and noticed a previous occupant had covered the smoke detector with a plastic bag a bit worrying that no one from housekeeping had either noticed this r the smell of cigarette smoke. This will not stop me staying a La Quinta but should be investigated by the management.

We almost passed up staying here because of some of the reviews, but decided to check it out ourselves. The hotel was a little dated but was quiet, clean, safe, easily accessed from I-85, and just minutes from downtown Montgomery. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accomodating. We would definitely stay here again.
