This is a nice clean older hotel. The outside looked a little tired but the inside was well maintained. The room was large and the bath was clean. Walking distance to a nice restaurant. Easy access on/off freeway. The staff was very nice and helpful.
The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to highway access but uncongested and safe. If you travel with a dog, I recommend this hotel.There is plenty of area outside for walking and exercise and management placed us as to have easy access to outside.
We have stayed at this motel before, which has two buildings one non-smoking which has the breakfast in the lobby. The other building is for smoking. Because of Eastern Ky. graduation the non-smoking building was full and we had to stay in the smoking building which they are converting to non-smoking on the first floor, but the room still reeked of smoke odor. No other motels had two rooms available.
overall very nice stay. front desk lady very nice and did a good job with reservation and check in.... the room was clean...needs updating with fresh paint and minor repairs to molding ...etc. i would recommend stay here... the morning breakfest was good with plenty of assortments to pick from.... coffee was extremely strong!!
We got a good discount by using a coupon available at a rest stop ($50/night). Since it was listed as pet friendly hotel, I asked for a non smoking, non pet room. I was never told they did not have any pet free rooms so we booked a room. The first room we went to was already occupied and we went down to the front desk and got another room. No elevators but we knew that in advance and said we could navigate the stairs. Hotel is away from the interstate and was quiet. It is in walking distance from the Cracker Barrel restaurant which was nice. Room was adequate, small bathroom, only amenity was a small vial of shampoo and soap. The next morning I could barely breathe. I asked at the front desk if they had any pet free rooms (thinking may the first room was pet-free but the other not) and was told no. Breakfast was adequate with hard boiled eggs, activia yogurt, choice of breads and pastries, juice, waffles, cereals. Room had a nice flat screen TV. It was hard to adjust the water temperature for the shower, it went from too hot to too cold too easily. Would not stay there again.
