I took the least worst last minute booking on an unusually high priced Priceline. My trip involved a rental car trip from another part of California and my intention was to drop the car en route to the airport the following morning. But LQ limits your arrival parking to 20 minutes. Now when you get in line behind other guests at check in and have to take luggage to your room 20 mins goes very quickly. My evening actually went downhill from there as in all the rush I forgot to gas the car and though Budget kindly allowed me to exit to rectify that I subsequently had to wait for their shuttle to the terminal and change levels to catch an LQ shuttle back to the hotel. The whole check in process thus took something like 2 hours and you would be right to put this down to my being dumb and for not taking a cab etc. As for the hotel, apart from a tediously slow Barman it was fine; the room was good and there is a McDonalds right next door. Recommended but only if you have no car

i love the location near the airport, airport shuttle was very convenient, though it is a bit far from downtown LA all major tours have pick up and drop from this hotel, mcd's and subway near by....i liked it. and best of all it comes within your budget. Highly recommend if you want to save money on airport transfers.

It's location is great. We chose this hotel for the convenience of going to the airport. It has an airport shuttle going around. It has a McDonalds near it. We stayed there for 1 night. The room was nice and clean and it had a LCD TV (40" I think), bathtub for the kids to play in. We enjoyed their regular breakfast - saugages, eggs, bread, coffee, and cereals. It has a heated pool, but we couldn't swim because the wind was a bit cool and it was located on the 4th floor. It is the second time we stayed in this hotel.

First the good stuff. The shuttle runs every 15 - 20 min. and is very prompt. The restaurant is good and there is free breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage along with the usual fare but they ran out of sausage early and said that they had no more. There is also free WiFi and a computer in the lobby with free internet access. I don't have a pet but I saw quite a few dogs in the hotel so I assume they are pet friendly. I heard one man say that they had complained to the management because the dog in the room next to theirs was barking and keeping them awake. So, if you travel with a pet I guess this is good and if not, maybe not so good. Now the bad. DO NOT get a room on the front of the hotel. This is the noisiest hotel I have ever been in in my life and I am not a light sleeper. The hotel is exactly one sidewalk width away from the 6 lane Century Blvd; there is no buffer zone. Loud traffic noise went on all night long with semi-trucks, motorcycles and cars; Century Blvd. never sleeps. Rooms on the back of the hotel have no view but at least they are quiet. Two out of the 3 elevators were out of service so with people checking in with their luggage and checking out the elevator service was very slow and often you had to wait for the elevator to stop 2 or 3 times before you could get on because they were full. The fan on the A/C would only run while the compressor was engaged so it was hot then cool, hot then cool and made sleeping a little difficult along with the constant traffic noise. I think I would pick a different hotel if staying by LAX again but if you do stay here be sure to get a room at the back.

Nice place, much better than expected. Heating was a bit rubbish, and bathroom small, but it had everything you needed, and a good tv. A few fast food eateries nearby. Airport shuttle works very well and frequently. Breakfast was quite crap, but at least there was hot and cold foods available, just a shame you had to use plastic plates and cups!
