A La Quinta traveler |
Would recomend this hotel, great value. It is very close to the city with an easy in and out. The hotel even offers a shuttle to local hospitals. The rooms are clean, up to date. The TV has relaxing "sleep sounds" channels with a babbling brook, ocean and nature. The area is just off the highway at the back of a strip mall, Ninety-Nine Restaurant (good bar-like food) across the parking lot, but not much else close by. Breakfast is available early in the morning to get you on your way. Enjoy your stay!
This is by far, the WORST,La QUINTA Ihave ever stayed at, possibly the WORST Hotel.
the front desk was not friendly or helpfull at all. The eating area was very small and crowed, not a big choice for breakfest. There was NO EGGS, or MEAT for the whole stay,4 DAYS. My Wife asked one of the kitchen ladies for something and had to follow her to the kitchen to get what she asked for. When she returned to our table, she said the kitchen was a MESS and DIRTY,this is from a woman who worked in Food Service for the School System for 15 yrs. We were surprised at the conditions being so close to downtown Boston. This Hotel canot compare to the one in North Olmsted, Ohio, were we stay on all our trips to the East coast.
Great place to stay. Shopping is right there as is the highway. Easy to get around from this hotel. Staff is wonderful and cares about every guest. We won't stay anywhere else while in this area. This hotel also offers a very nice free breakfast with something for everyone.
We had stayed here previously with a good experience. This time not so good. There were three of us, my husband and I and a visitor to the United States for the 1st time, who stayed on the pull-out couch, which literally was like sleeping on metal springs against your body. (our bed was quite comfortable). could hear noise between rooms, but not horrible. the worst part was 1st day we were given a card with a phone number and told to call when we got back to the train station from downtown Boston, which we did (actually called from Boston as we were getting onto the T) and were told that they only came on the hour, thus a long wait in store for us, so we ended up getting a cab - no easy task as they don't sit at the train station. second day, we planned for the hourly arrival of the van, which somehow never arrived until almost a half hour late - we were told one van was down. we were cold and unhappy by the time we returned. so, mixed bag, the good part, clean and relatively inexpensive if you want to put up with the inconveniences. definitely impossible sleeping on the "pull out sofabed" which you might as well not open up. (also though much of the staff was friendly, our first greeting was by a stony faced, unhappy seeming young woman)
You know what I love about walking into La Quinta? Consistency of kindness. I'd used them in Arkansas, Memphis and Orlando. This was my first foray into the Boston area La Quintas, and when I walked in, a smile and a kind word greeted me. Check in was fast and pleasant. The room was new looking, clean and set to an excellent temperature. Bed is fantastically comfortable, and they even use the good pillows! I'm a Boston Cannons season ticket owner, despite living in NY. I'm already book into the La Quinta for next weekend's game. I'll be staying there all season. And it's RIGHT next to a good restaurant, AND shopping if I forget any necessities!
