You absolutely will not find a better hotel for the price. It is very clean and well managed. I usually expect to pay about $200 for such a room and this one cost me under 100 bucks. Remember to ask for a military discount if you are military. There is also a medical rate if you happen to be visiting someone in the hospital nearby, it will save you a few bucks.Enjoy your stay, I enjoyed mine!
Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel during one of the busiest seasons in Memphis. A plus was the ability for my small dog to stay with me. The hotel cleanliness was impeccable ~~ even with other pets in the hotel. This will be the hotel that I stay at each time I am in Memphis, TN.
This hotel is a wonderful place to stay in a convenient location and an excellent value. If the building is not new, it is like new. My room, though simple, was large and very attractive; the bathroom thoughtfully laid out. The staff was friendly and helpful. At first I had no car and it was a comfortable walk to a very nice trio: McDonald's, Five Guys and a Mexican restaurant (Happy Mexican??) all on one corner - plus some interesting shops. I absolutely loved my stay; there was nothing I didn't like!!
About 20-30 minutes from all Memphis locations but in a very very safe neighborhood. So if your not walking this place is great. I traveled with 2 small dogs and of course they were very welcomed. Nice area to walk around at all time of day & night.
There were issues upon arriving @ the hotel which continued throughout our 2 day stay. When we 1st arrived we were attempting to set up Netflix & discovered the internet was not working. We reported it to the front desk & was told the internet man was here earlier & he was gone & there was nothing that could be done. Then the air was blowing HOT air & we called down to report this & no one offered to come up or offered any instructions on how to keep the air on, this we figured out by pushing buttons. Then we went to attempt to get ice & was told to try another floor keep in mind we tried back several times & it NEVER worked...wth? Ok @ breakfast the manager ran the bar on Saturday (6/1/13) the boiled eggs were cold, no milk, no sugar for coffee & there was a long line of guest waiting for these items @ approx. 8am. Then not to mention this is a pet friendly hotel....nothing like walking down a narrow hall approaching a Pit-bull. When checking out I asked to speak w/ a manager only to receive the same wrinkled shirt gentleman that checked me out. Staff gets an"F" hotel gets a "D".
