A La Quinta traveler |
Had a great golf getaway with 3 other coup,ex at LaQuinta in Utica. We love the location as it is close to a lot of great restaurants , shopping and of course golf. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Hot tub and pool area were a perfect end to our day. We will definitely be back
We love coming to this Hotel when we need a little getaway. The Staff is always Exceptional. And the rooms are clean and well appointed. The location is convenient. We never use the pool area because we always spring for the Jacuzzi room. (easier to relax in private). The only issues we had that are preventing me from giving this 4 or 5 stars is that our Jacuzzi tub didn't work properly this time. It leaked scalding hot water from the vent, and there were no bubbles. Also, the people in the room directly above us sounded like they were marching from the window to the door and back again from 330am-noon. So we got no sleep at all.
Next time I will request not to be in that room, due to the shoddy hot tub. But other than that. A great stay

The staff is dedicated to being friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. A very nice stay. I enjoy not having to Sign a Guest Card and list my Drivers License every time that I check in.
An emergency trip, including the family pet (Miniature Schnauzer), La Quinta came to the rescue! Pet friendly, clean, close to all sorts of dining and shopping.
Excellent Room Rates
The room had some common 'pet wear', although clean, spacious, and the two room suite accommodated our needs perfectly! (Mom and three boys; two bathrooms were a blessing)
Breakfast was starkly simple; met the need, not the desires. (No real butter, and only low-fat cream cheese, bagels, bread, 2 very plain cereals, milk, low fat yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee, teas, watery OJ & apple juice)
Small in-room refrigerators - next time we'll bring the little extra we like.
Beds and pull out couch were comfortable!
All Staff Members were friendly and helpful.
Pool area was clean. Water a bit chilly and refreshing. Jacuzzi working and on the cooler side, too. Perhaps normal for the low WINTER temperatures!

So the hotel itself is not visually impressive at all (not to be confused with unclean because it was very clean just older) but it suited our needs quite well. I went out with 4 friends and I hate not having a place to put our stuff and tripping over one another. So I got the room with the king bed that was joined with a living space that also had a sleep sofa and it was nice to not have to pay crazy money for it. Having 2 bathrooms and 2 fridges with 4 women is wonderful, the king bed was comfortable but the sleeper sofa was the exact opposite. Had awesome closet,table, and walking space for our needs. I really liked the breakfast assortment, it was nothing fancy but the food was good and had a little of this and that. If you are relying on internet for school, work or kids, I would not recommend this hotel because their internet was not working at all. But I would definitely stay here again because it was right next to Dave and Busters, the RedOx, and Applebees. So it was a good location.
