"Horrible service and freezing cold room"

Got a room online thinking it looked very nice and located in a very nice area. It is located in a great area but the room was another story. To cut to the chase; the room was 62 degrees when we got there and the door was standing open. I called the front desk and the gentleman was nice and apologized for the door being propped open. Next he said to unplug the a/c unit and then reset the temp control on the wall and the heat would come on. This did not happen after doing this three times. I called again and he just said "sorry." I called the front desk the next morning and told the young lady. She told me she would let the manager know. I never received an apology or for that matter a kiss my - from the manager. This is how he/she operates their hotel. I would have offered a free night there or elsewhere, but who am I? Thanks for nothing and you can choke on the money.
"Nice clean room! Got a discount at the front desk! Perfect!"

I'm very picky and won't put up with a dirty or smelly room. Given that, I was pleased! The room was nice and clean. Nice, clean, newer bedding, comfortable mattress. I had a king size bed. There were 5 or 6 pillows and they were all different kinds, so you get to pick which kind of pillow you prefer! I've never seen that even in a 4 star hotel. Carpet looked newer & was clean. My feet didn't get dirty from walking around the room. There were some newer updates in the room - vanity, TV, etc. Everything else has been touched up in the last year or two, it appeared. The rest of the hotel was not quite as clean and new "feeling" as the room, but it definitely wasn't icky or run-down (worth mentioning but nothing to worry about - remember I'm picky). What really matters is that the room was good, which it was. A little road noise from the interstate, but it didn't keep me awake. Probably quieter on the other side of the hotel. I didn't swim in the pool or hot tub, but I gave it the once-over. Looked good. I just grabbed a yogurt from the breakfast bar. It appeared to be your average free breakfast bar. If you just need a light breakfast - fruit, yogurt, toast, etc - it's fine, like all free breakfast bars.
Not quite 4 star quality, but not 4 start price either. So if you don't want to pay $150 but you want 4 star quality, this is your next best option at $75. Would definitely stay there again.
This hotel is conveniently located next to a Cracker Barrel Restaurant - that is the best part of the hotel. The front desk staff was friendly. We enjoyed the indoor pool. Now the not-so-good part: The hotel room was very tired. It was not dirty, but in need of maintenance. The hallway door was ill-fitting which allowed light from the hall to shine in all night. The bathtub and grout needed to be scrubbed. No refrigerator in the room. The king sized bed was too soft for me. The continental breakfast was adequate. Nothing horrible in the hotel. We stayed three nights. For a one night stay, it would be okay.
staff was very friendly and helpful :) Elliott and Cameron were at the front desk and very nice.
the hotel just needs to be updated. It is showing a bit of age. The bathroom was very small and needed an exhaust fan. Also kinda looked a bit dirty but that was just from age. they also need to fix some of the room doors... they need to be fixed and a coat of paint or two. The dead bolt kept sticking out so you could not properly shut the door...... this is just an older hotel that needs a spruce up all around.Beds were average pretty comfy.
the breakfast was good. waffles, boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, cereal etc. was a bit busy but everything was kept full :)
We have stayed at this LaQuinta before and returned because of the helpful, friendly staff and clean, comfortable accommodations. I love that our pets are welcome at this facility. I liked that there was plenty of grass for us to walk our dog, but we had to step carefully to avoid stepping in other pets' waste. I would prefer that the management would remind everyone to clean up after their pets out of respect to other travelers.
