"Good, but Great for travelors with dogs"
4 of 5 stars Reviewed Aug 25, 2014

This is the only La Quinta between Memphis and Nashville. It you travel with dogs, that is important information. The Inn is an attractive building. It has a huge (the size of two football fields) front lawn with fencing on at least two sides. It makes a wonderful place to exercise a dog. Just wonderful. There is a very attractive outside swimming pool on the edge of this huge lawn, with attractive landscaping. The staff are helpful and polite. The overnight manager likes t take her time setting up the morning breakfast, and so she starts early. This means that for very early risers there will be some breakfast items available well before the scheduled opening time. Rooms are comfortable. The bed was also comfortable, but The mattress was fatigued. It was easy to see the impressions previous occupants had left in the mattress. Nicely delineated impressions visible through the made up bad. The caulking about the bathtub had a few minor cracks in it, and the drywall had pulled apart for a significant length at one corner in the bathroom. The most severe problem is that the motel telephone is not answered for very prolonged times. I had to call three times before the phone was answered, and after it was answered I was put on hold for a prolonged period. The no answer problem occurred also on a previous trip throught the area. Despite the problems the facility was very pleasant, and I will stay there next time I am through that area

This hotel offers a very good workspace and is well-located to work sites and facilities related to the job. Employees are cordial and cooperative. Quality of accommodations is above average. Excellent accessibility to primary traffic routes.

"Not so bad, not so good"
3 of 5 stars Reviewed Aug 18, 2014

The hotel is reasonably priced, but we had a couple of issues with the cleanliness of the room, specially the towels, as some looked spotted with makeup. The breakfast had ran out of eggs half an hour before time and even when we were told that they look up for more, we never got any or an explanation.

"Nice, would stay here again"
4 of 5 stars Reviewed Aug 16, 2014

Overall, this was a nice hotel. Rooms seemed a bit musty but they were comfortable. It is summer and air was running when we arrived so that may have contributed to the smell. Staff was wonderful, especially the young lady that checked us in. They were very helpful with everything; checking us, giving us directions to dinner... The one negative, there were a lot of dogs staying this night.

"Nice stay for a few days"
4 of 5 stars Reviewed Aug 6, 2014

We stayed three nights while visiting family last weekend. Previously, I've stayed at some more expensive and some less expensive lodging choices in Jackson. I was pleasantly surprised with the stay. I think it is a matter of having appropriate expectations for what you are getting. Our room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was good, and the towels were absorbent. There was a refrigerator and a microwave, which were handy. The carpet did have a few stains. Their front desk clerk was efficient and friendly. Breakfast during the week was less busy than on the weekend. Each day they had an attendant dedicated to working the breakfast area. She was busy replenishing items. Besides that, she was very friendly and helpful. While breakfast was not a gourmet spread, it did include waffles, biscuits/gravy, bagels, muffins, cereal, apple juice, orange juice, milk, coffee, yogurt, and toast. Unless following a low-carb diet, it seems like it should be easy to find plenty to eat. The hotel is dog friendly, which I appreciated. We swam in the pool, which again was not the most elegant or creative but clean and chlorinated. The hallways and doors are in definite disrepair...the hallways definitely need renovation. Overall, though, this hotel is just fine for a few nights in Jackson.
