Let me start by saying I stay at numerous La Quintas throughout the year.. Checking in I almost wondered if the guy at the front desk was a kid filling in for his mom who was sick... He looked extremely flustered and out of sorts. Upon checking in I requested that we be provided a roll away (said I would not mind paying extra, since we were using pts to stay free). He looked at me like he had never heard the word before... I had to explain what it was! He said that he would call his manager and check and come to my room with an answer. So, 30 mins later he knocks on my door and says that he has brought me an inflatable bed and then asks it I would like sheets with it??!! (first off, who wants a hotel bed with NO sheets, second, yes he brought me an inflatable bed..) So, he leaves and comes back with a bundle of linens.. So, I start looking through what he brought me and it was a comforter and pillow cases, but NO sheets!! By this time I'm feeling a bit put out, but mind you he is not being rude, just very ignorant... SO I go back to the front desk and follow him to the linen closet to get sheets and low and behold!! There in that linen closet is a made rollaway bed!!! So, I personally start rolling the bed and tell him he can have his inflatable I need this bed!! Absolutely ridiculous!! The guy was totally clueless... Do they not train their employees at this La Quinta????
It was a bad experience.. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone... Next time I will try the other La Quinta across town!!
I stayed here for 1 night each stay, a few days apart. Both times the room was clean and relatively quiet. As most hotels, you can hear people in the hallways and doors slamming. The breakfast was average. When I checked out the first time, I mentioned to the front desk that the tub faucet constantly dripped. Hopefully they took care of the problem. Since the hotel was very reasonably priced and there were restaurants within walking distance, I would recommend this hotel to others.
Have stayed here several times in years gone by, and will continue to stay here as long as the facility is kept up. Good price for a good night sleep. Usually don't sleep well when traveling, but the bed seemed to match mine at home for comfort.
Stopped for one night on a business trip to the US and I think I can sum this one up with a few quick points about the room:
- Cockroaches
- Non-smoking room that stank of stale tobacco
- Peeling wallpaper
- Dirty and dusty carpet
- Damp smelling bathroom with permanently dripping tap
- Torn and worn furniture
Very glad to be moving on later today.
This was a very nice place to spend the night. Even though there was a slight odor of old cigarette smoke in the halls - and a little less so in the room - the place was otherwise scrupulously clean. The room was of good size and the bed was especially comfortable. There was a choice family resyaurants in easy driving distance (just not a good road to walk on) for supper. The breakfast was ample, well prepared and of good variety. The staff was very pleasant. All in all this is a good value and we'll stop there next time.
