"Not worth the priceline even..."

So my husband booked on price line just because we where passing thru on our way home from visiting family. We spent the afternoon at King's island and wanted a decent room for the night. This really room ranked really low on my decent score. Outdated, carpet stained, a/c rattled (and did not cool!) and the fan was balanced with pieces of paper shoved between the ceiling and the fan mount (I doubt that is code). The bathroom was dated but OK, however, there was urine (not ours) that had dripped on the back of the toilet behind the seat. Was this room even cleaned??? My husband did check for bedbugs - no evidence of infestation was found. So we sucked it up and stayed. ( we arrived at 10 pm with three kids...) This will be the last time we ever stay at LA Quinta, especially this one.

La Quinta is an excellent choice for the budget conscience traveler. It is close to Kings Island and restaurants. Convenient to downtown Cincinnati and all it has to offer. Clean and reasonably priced.

"Stinky, dirty rooms!!!"

Room was dirty and stinky. Stains on carpet and trash left in room. It did not look as though it had been cleaned prior to our stay. Hot tub was scalding! Told the front desk and was told it couldn't be turned down. Spoke to other guests that had also complained and was told the same. Breakfast choices were lacking!

"Not a great experience"

We have stayed here previously hotel clearly needs a renovation. When we arrived there were only two sets of towels for our 4 occupants and when they inquired about them they said there were not any available. The next day when I requested towels for four people the maid asked me to go down to the front desk and retrieve them myself. I'm not quite sure if the room was ever vacuumed during our four night stay. While the air conditioning in our room was fine the hallways and Lobby were stifling hot with no air. On the positive side I felt the beds were very comfortable and the pool and hot tub ever nice. We had a very good rate but I kind of felt like it was a step above camping.

"Hotel Nightmare"

Arrived Th for w/e stay for Kings Island. Dirty lobby bathroom...staff said maid went home when I brought to their attention. Put our family in smoking room (my daughter has asthma)...they moved us to 3rd floor which was better than 2nd smoking floor, but very very dirty. I can't write enough how bad the smoke and pungent smell is throughout the hotel. Dust all over room, mold growing under bath tub spicket, little bugs in room, few towels. Went to general manager - had to wait behind the line of ppl complaining - he advised they would spray and clean room very well while we were gone the next day at KI -they only had 2 towels - said they'd bring more - no one ever came - we have family of 5. Came home after a LONG day at the park to find that no one had entered our room...towels still on floor, bed un-made. Again, went to lobby to get towels and complain. People checking out only to be told of non-check-out policy because their rooms were also dirty - hair balls on floor, beds trashed. The carpets look like they haven't been vacuumed in a long time. Elevator broke..had to carry our bags down 3 flights of stairs. Employees look dirty...I am not surprised they don't clean the rooms...they don't look like they take care of themselves. Hotwire booked, nothing GM could do about refund he said it was booked through hotwire. General manager said he'd personally clean our room and the mold was still there, not vacuumed after he was done. People can't follow someone that doesn't know how to lead and hire quality help. It was a hotel nightmare and unbelievable that it's still open after the long line of people complaining and exiting this dirt trap.
