"Very nice pet-friendly hotel!"

We've always had good luck at La Quinta hotels, and this was no exception. It's difficult to find pet-friendly hotels, but when we need to take our dog we always seem to turn to La Quinta. We stayed one night on June 14, 2013 with our dog. We came to town for a wedding that evening, so we dropped him off at the hotel before going to the ceremony. Now as a side note, we've been to hotels before that won't let you leave your dog unattended (even though we usually do!). I understand the reasoning for it, obviously so they can have somebody control an unruly or loud dog. Our dog is neither, ever. This hotel lets you leave your well-behaved pets alone.
As for the hotel itself, it is of older architecture and style but the inside has been remodeled and updated. Our room was clean and modern, as you would expect from a hotel chain such as this. Breakfast area was also updated, and the food spread was quite acceptable and tasty. It was also reasonably priced for the area, even though I always think hotels are overpriced.
Staff was friendly and helpful. You can tell the staff likes dogs, as we had at least two staff members stop and say hi to our dog. This always makes my wife happy. It's a nice (safe) area with plenty of grass around the hotel for doggy duties.
If you're not a dog owner, never fear. The vast majority of guests had no dogs, and it doesn't smell like dogs or anything. You'd never know it's pet friendly unless you actually saw a pet. Even though there were a few other guests there with dogs, I didn't hear a single bark the entire time.
I would highly recommend this hotel, dog owner or not. It's a very nice hotel in its price range.
We stayed here two nights with our medium sized dog. The deck clerk greeted us with enthusiasm and encouraged us to introduce our dog to the front desk staff during our stay. We had easy access to I-80 and I-57. Gas station next door was non-stop busy day and night. Hotel is located in a nice office park that included walking paths through a wetlands area. Not much traffic in the office park on the weekend, might be different during the week. We noticed carpet layers working on many rooms when we left so the hotel is doing updates. Bed was just right for sleeping and we had plenty of room for the dog kennel in our 1-King room.
Our family had so much fun, at the pool and relaxing watching movies.
The morning Bright Side Breakfast is THE BEST. Kiddos made waffles every morning.
We travel once a year by car and we Love La Quinta

I stayed at the LaQuinta Inn in Tinley Park this past weekend and it was just "OK." The room was clean and the staff was friendly, but there is just something missing. LaQuinta is only one of a couple hotels in that area that accepts pets as we had to take our dog. The Inn does not charge an extra pet fee which is good. However, the room had a stale cigarette odor to it. In fact, even when I returned home after only one night my clothes ( pajamas) smelled like that room! Bizarre! The air conditioning worked well in the room, but the continental breakfast was lacking and disorganized. Maybe I am just being too critical? I don't think so..... I did find a pair of socks from the previous guest on the floor in the room, if that says anything about housekeeping. If I was in the area again and had to bring my pet, I think I would find another hotel.
Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast workers were super.
The beds were the most comfortable I've had in a motel.
There were a couple minor repair items in the room -- the radio/clock didn't work and a bedside lamp was damaged.
