A La Quinta traveler |
I decided to upgrade & I'm so glad I did. It was just what a weary traveler with a moody pet needed after a VERY LONG drive. The young lady who checked me in was great. She had several guests coming up to her, the phones ringing & staff calling her but she remained calm under pressure. The facility was nice & the pet walk in the rear is a nice touch. The continental breakfast could use a little sprucing up. My only complaints were: the hotel needed more frequent trash pick-ups in the public areas & I wish there were more stores/shops in the area. Otherwise great choice. Would stay again.
The king room that we stayed in was clean and the breakfast was nice. The price, even with an AARP discount, was more than it probably should've been. However, the overall experience was a nice one. The check in clerk was friendly and suggested a restaurant for dinner. The check out clerk was pleasant as well. We would stay her again if we are in the area.
I stayed at this location on two occasions for a week at a time. Found the rooms clean and the hotel staff very pleasant. The breakfast was always on time and was fresh. The eating area was light and clean. The hotel is pet friendly and there was never a problem with noise from the animals that I observed. When I first arrived I thought that the trains, over a hundred a day, would cause a problem when it came to sleeping, but found that it was not a problem. I would recommend to anyone in business or just on a trip with the family.
Room was clean and had lots of space. Front desk personnel was friendly. Internet included and signal was good. Breakfast OK, nothing to write home about. Not a bad place if you are passing through and don't mind staying on the East side of the city.
Property is in keeping with LQ quality but is definitely the second tier because of age. Room was good size, breakfast was there if a little cramped. I think the issues is Gallup overall, just a place between destinations.
